"A Namco classic that is worth playing"

Ah yes Phelios, the game that twists Greek mythology in to a fun game. (I still have my copy of the game.) This game is a above average Sega Genesis game. The graphics might be little off but everything else about the game isn't bad. The story line, music, controls, and game play are all good. The story line is this: You are Apollo and you live with Artemis. One day Artemis is kidnapped by the evil Thynos. You must go rescue her.

Game play: This game is a shooter game that moves from the bottom to the top. As Apollo you have to shoot at everything in your way and reach each boss's temple. You have three hit points and they can't be refilled if you get hit. You collect items that give you speed and more fire power. You can also get a side weapon. There are no bombs that you can use or specials. However you need to collect the seven pieces of the sword Phelios.

Graphics: The graphics are not bad since this game was made in 1989. However I think Namco could have improved a bit more for this part.

Music:The music is kind of dull since they keep using the same ones over and over again. The music is kind of eerie.

Controls: On a ABC type controller the controls are: A button is not used in the game, the B button is to shoot and charge up your weapon, and the C button is also not used. The D-pad is used for moving up, down, left, and right. The start button is used for selecting options and for pausing the game.

Length:Since this game is very hard it will take many people along to beat. The game has eight levels and each one takes a lot of skill to beat. I highly suggest to use a Game Genie or any other cheats to help make the game easier.

Overall I think that Namco did pretty well on making this game. I think that they should remake a copy of this game since it's a pretty good shooter.
