"A fun yet hard game"

I bought this game at the video rental in Sureway. They were going out of business and they sold all their games for about 50 cents. So I picked it up almost 8 years ago (I think). I popped it into my Genesis and turned it on. I was impressed but I was very young. I still play this game today. I have also had offers from some people wanting to buy it.
Gameplay 9/10
Its fun to play. Only if you are a Simpsons lover. There are 6 levels and a bonus lose or get a life. (That means it is a random stage if you get skulls you lose a life, get a corndog take you gain a life). Not much of a story you mainly make it up. The 6 levels are Bart the pig, Bart the dinosaur, Bart the egger, Bart the biker, baby Bart, and Bart's swimming.
Difficulty 10/10
I had this game 8 years and I still cant beat one level. The biker level is the hardest and also the level that you will have the most fun on. In each level it shows a different style of gaming from racing to side scrollers to action from shooting. Also once you advance in a level it gets insanely hard. Don't think just that its an old game its easy. Each level has 4 or more parts that are insanely hard. Only the Egg/Tomato level is easy.
Graphics/Sound 7/10
Graphics are okay. They could have been better. Mainly most of the space in the game is using the cut scenes. There are some funny parts like Bart's project in the intro. He has Homer's head in a jar. They are completely animated and look great. But the in game graphics aren't that great. But the sound raises the score. Hearing Bart and Homer just makes me laugh. The voices are good. Not much music but its playful and fits the mood.
Controls 8/10
The controls are easy to learn. The thing is it changes on each stage. On the swimming you can pick up items but its hard to find out what combination lets you. Other than that the controls are fairly easy.

Buy, Rent, or Run
Rent it first. Only if you like it or love the Simpsons this game is a worthwhile 50 cents. If you don't like the game or the Simpsons run far away until you hit something. That or just go home and don't think about it.
