**Circular Sudoku**

A fun alternative to the traditional Sudoku Puzzle.

Circular Sudoku is a variant of Sudoku that keeps its basis in the pure Sudoku game rather then being a hybrid arithmetic or placement variant. It continues the Sudoku tradition in that it is a puzzle of pure logic however arranges the puzzle in a refreshing way.

The Sudoku grid is presented as a series of circles and segments with the constraining rule being that every symbol appears in each ring and each pair of adjacent segments of the ring. This is presented on the iPhone with and elegant, but simple user interface allowing for easy play.

This puzzle was invented by Prof. Peter M. Higgins at the University of Essex, Department of Mathematical Sciences and developed by Michael Anslow an undergraduate Computer Science student at the University of Essex.
