It’ a new and amusing playing cards game, based on the traditional game “Over Five or Under Five?”, now finally available for iPhone, iPod and iPad.

You play it by guessing on a card, whose limit is 5. You have two cards, one covered and one uncovered. You have to guess if the uncovered card value will be over the score of 5 or under it.

You can bet that a card over 5 will come next; and if the covered card value is over 5 your guess wins.

Viceversa for a card whose value is behind the amount of 5.

The game is based on the Neapolitan pack of cards, the most popular type used in Italy.

For those who do not know this pack of cards, an application will reveal the value of the cards.

The game provides a maximum of 40 cards per play.

The 40 cards are divided in 4 suit and there are 10 cards for each suit:
•denari - the Italian cards corresponding to diamonds
•spade - the Italian cards corresponding to spades
•coppe - the Italian cards corresponding to hearts
•bastoni - the Italian cards corresponding to cudgels

Cards no. 8, 9 and 10 of each suit are represented by jack, knight, king; the other cards are recognizable by the number and the distinctive elements of the suit.

At the exit of the 40th card, an application will inform the player that the game is over and allows him to start a new game or quit. There is also an easy reload key, up on the right of the screen.

The application counts all the Over 5 and Under 5 guess made by the player, sums them up and gives the final result of the game at the end of the play.

A summary of the right and wrong guess made for every pack of cards and a funny emoticon symbolizing each time the win/draw/lose are available for players.

Per la prima volta su iPhone, iPod Touch e iPad un nuovissimo e divertentissimo gioco di carte derivato da quello conosciuto con il nome di “Sopra 5 Sotto 5”o "Banco".

Si punta su una carta il cui confine ambivalente a doppia faccia è il 5.

Si può puntare sull’uscita della carta “Sopra 5”; se la carta è maggiore di cinque si vince.

Viceversa, si punta sull’uscita della carta “Sotto 5”; se la carta e inferiore o uguale a 5 si vince.

Le carte con cui si gioca sono uno dei tipi utilizzati in Italia conosciute con il nome di “Napoletane”.

Per chi non le conosce l’applicazione aiuta l’utente nel riconoscerle individuando per lui il valore della carta.

Il numero di carte che si possono utilizzare sono 40 per singolo gioco.

Le 40 carte sono divise in 4 “segni”; 10 per ognuno di essi:
•denari,
•spade,
•coppe,
•bastoni.

L’8, il 9 ed il 10 di ogni segno sono raffigurate rispettivamente da un alfiere, un cavallo ed un re; le altre carte sono riconoscibili dal valore nominale della carta raffiguranti gli elementi distintivi del segno.

Alla fine delle 40 carte l’applicazione avvisa l’utente del “Game over” e gli fa scegliere se ricominciare una nuova partita oppure no con un altro mazzo di carte. Altrimenti c’è un comodo tasto di reload in alto a destra.

L’applicazione tiene il conto di quanto volte viene scelto il “Sopra 5” e quante il “Sotto 5”.

C’è un comodo riepilogo di quante volte si vince e quante si perde per ogni singolo mazzo di carte ed un simpatico emoticon che dà a colpo d’occhio la percezione di vincita, pareggio o perdita.
