Math Potato 3: Prime Factoring
Description
(Regular price: $4.99) Here we have a game designed to help students practice their prime factorization. It was inspired by hot potato. In three modes of play, the player is challenged with a number and the taks of finding the prime factors of that number. Input a number that is not a prime, or is not a factor of the number, and the number will be multiplied by another prime and you'll have to keep trying. After each correct answer the difficulty level will increase for subsequent problems.
The namesake mode is "Potato Mode". In this mode, an unseen timer runs at all times. When the timer runs out, the current player is eliminated. When an incorrect factor is inputted into the game, 5 seconds are ticked off from the timer and the player must try again.
Other modes include Test! mode and Versus! mode. In these modes, your goal is to accumulate as many points as possible within the time limit (set by the user). Versus mode is mutliplayer (up to six players - the player with the most points wins) while Test mode is single player.
There is also a configuration page where you can choose how long you want the game to lost (for Potato mode, this is an approximation) and the maximum number of digits in the number to be factored.
Dude, you're about to get potatoed!
