                                  Unit Statistics
                                  ===============
    
    Numbers are base values and do not reflect civilzation bonuses.
    
    Where there are forward slashes (/) the first number refers to standard
    units while the second number refers to elite units. For example, Eagle
    Warrior attack 7/9 means that the Eagle Warrior has 7 attack and the
    Elite Eagle Warrior has 9 attack.
    
    There are two types of armour, melee and pierce. The first one listed is
    melee armour and stops melee attacks. The second listed armour is pierce
    armour and stops piercing attacks. For example, an Eagle Warrior has 0/2
    armour. That means 0 melee armour and 2 pierce armour. See Section 3 for
    a list of the kind of damage (melee or pierce) that each unit inflicts
    and more information on how armour actually works.
    
    When armour is listed for a unit and an elite unit side by side (like
    this: 0/1 / 0/2), the first two numbers are the value of the standard
    unit's melee armour and pierce armour respectively. The last 2
    numbers are the melee and pierce armour of the elite unit respectively.

                                Unit Creation Times
                                ===================
    
    The following unit creation times are in Age of Empires II game time (not
    actual time). All times are in seconds. All times are accurate within 1
    second and are rounded down to the nearest whole number. (PI) means
    Post-Imperial and the times marked as (PI) are with conscription, unique
    technologies, and Imperial Age upgrades (such as Champion or Paladin). No
    (PI) means conscription was not researched and the unit was was fully
    upgraded except for Imperial Age upgrades. Except for Cavalry Archers,
    Eagle Warriors, and Chu Ko Nus, all units and thier upgrades (such as
    Militia and Champions) have the same creation time.

    Melee damage is blocked by melee armour (represented by the first number
    of a unit's armour). Pierce damage is blocked by pierce armour
    (represented by the second number in a unit's armour). For example, a
    unit with 2/3 armour will block 2 melee damage or 3 pierce damage,
    depending on the type of damage that is dealt. To determine the damage
    dealt when the unit being hit has armour, take the attackers attack
    (including added attack by blacksmith upgrades) and subtract from it the
    defending unit's armour. This will be the damage dealth by the attacker.
    Every attack does a minimum of 1 damage.
    
    For example:
    
    An arbalest has 6 + 4 attack and does pierce damage. A champion has
    1 + 4 pierce armour. The damage done by the arbalest to the champion
    will be:
    
    attack  -  armour  =  damage
    (6 + 4) - (1 + 4)  =  5 damage
