"Well, this doesn't look very...whoa! This is cool!"

Beam Wars. I was first introduced to this addictive game at a friend's house. And by addictive, I mean, like, smoking addictive. This game will have you playing for hours on end. You'll wake up in the middle of the night, just to play just one more game before going back to sleep. Oh wait, maybe that's just me.

Beam Wars is a 2-D game that looks kinda like Tron. Oh, didn't see that movie, huh? That's ok, it's not worth seeing. Anyway, Beam Wars is a game in which 4 different colored lines move around a grid. This lines always leave a trail behind them. If you run into a trail of any color, you lose. It's a lot of fun with friends.

Audio: 4/10
Uh...not much in this dept. I mean, it IS an old 2-D game. Pretty much the only sounds you hear are ''3...2...1...Begin!'' That's about it.

Visual: 3/10
Did I mention this was 2-D? No matter. What it lacks in dimensions, it makes up for in gameplay.

Gameplay: 10/10
Maybe this is just me, but I love playing this game. It's so much fun to outwit the other players, and trap them in boxes of their trails. With your friends, this game becomes a better party game than Mario Party.

Replayability: 10/10
By yourself this game is addictive. With friends, this game becomes more important that eating. You could play this game over and over...and over and not get tired of it. And the computers and your friends will always keep you guessing as to where they're gonna go. Though it is not as flashy as Metal Gear Solid, or Final Fantasy 7, this game is more addictive, and has better replay value.

Plot: N/A
It's an arcade game really. There's no plot, no storyline. The object of the game is to outwit your friends, and be the last line standing...er...you know what I mean.

Overall: 9/10
I love this game. I feel like playing right now since I've mentioned it. This is practically reason enough to just go out and buy a Macintosh. And don't let those PC users tell you there are no good games for Mac. Remember Mac users: though PCs have more games, the only good ones are the ones that come to Mac. =) Now, this is a very old game, and I doubt you'll find it anywhere. But if you have a friend you has it, or you find it in a store, get it. Don't think, just buy. Though the game is 2-D, it is addictive, fun, the replay value is through the roof.
