"Its like hitting yourself in the head with a stick"

At first I had high hopes for this game. I thought it would be something like the great Civilization 2. But no. What I got was a nice looking game with ok sound. The bad thing was that it plays like a broken down car. Don't be tricked by the name, this is just some new knock off of an old classic series. The last Civilization games were made buy somebody else. That is why the older ones are a lot better than this one.
Graphics-8/10 The graphics in this game are actually very good. There is also an ok amount of detail in the land and ocean. I would say this is the best part of the game. Unfortunately, graphics alone don't make a game good.
Sound-5/10 Well one big plus for the sound is that there must be like over a hundred different sounds for the units. There isn't really anything bad about this, but there really isn't anything that stands out in my mind.
Game Play-1/10 This has to be the worst thing I have ever put on my mac. First off, the unit battles are REALLY messed up. You could have a group of fusion tanks battle one phalanx and the tanks would lose. Then there is the AI. It will always be really stupid or inhumanly smart. There are also all these units that can take over you cities and you can't stop them!!!!! You can't even see them either. Also this game's controls and rules are very hard to get a hang of. I think many people will be turned off because of this. Then there is the multiplayer. At first you will think its really cool. But after a while, you ask yourself, ''Why am I playing this?''
Replay-3/10 Well there are a lot of things to do in this game and there are a couple different ways to win the game. Its to bad that the game play is so bad no one will ever want to play it again. I played it once on easy and just became really painful to finish my first game. By the time i got done with the first game, I never played another single player game of Call To Power again.
Avoid this game at all costs. If you want a real ''Civilization'' game, buy Civilization 2, or Alpha Centauri. Both of them are way better.
