    During the game, press the Enter key and you will see a message prompt. Then enter one of the following codes:

  • Codes for Version 1.1 and up.

    While playing, press the chat key (default: Return) and enter the following in the message line. These are case sensitive. Feedback is given depending on the code used.

    Note: These are for the Ambrosia Software release versions of Ares. The codes that are already posted here are for the Changeling Software release versions (1.0.x).

    EffectCode
    AI ships ignore player's current ship. The ship will continue to be ignored even when the player switches to another ship.==drake
    All ships ordered after this code is entered will be available immediately.==fsst
    Decreases resource generation rate by one step.==1969
    Enables/disables cheats. Does not appear to work, as cheats are enabled anyway.==gronk
    Increases resource generation rate by one step.==1999
    Large boost in available resources.==lotto
    Rename an object. Might not do anything.whait
