Aqua Teen Hunger Force Destruct-O-Thon

"A waste of money"

I really enjoy the Aqua Teen Hunger Force show, even with all its faults. Sure, it's dumb. But, it makes me laugh. So, I bought this game. Big mistake.

Normally, I break my reviews into separate sections like story, gameplay, etc. But, since this is a cell phone game, it really only requires two sections.

Gameplay: 2/10
The objective of Aqua Teen Hunger Force Destruct-o-thon is to boot various objects from the TV show ( a universal remonster, one of the mooninites, etc) and have it land as close to a selected target point as possible. You can select Master Shake, Meatwad or Frylock to play as. There aren't really any discernible differences between them, so pretty much just pick your favorite character. As you progress in the game, the target areas will become trickier to hit to to the increased numbers of obstacles in your way. These include weird little bumper pads that send the object you hit flying higher into the sky, patches of fire that will light it on fire, and other hazards. It's pretty obvious that the developers of this game pretty just phoned it in. Pardon the pun. Anyway, the background is the same on every stage, there's really no other objective other than topping your previous high score, it's just a waste of space on your cell phone. I know cell phone games aren't exactly supposed to be some huge Shadow of the Colossus-like experience, but in the day and age of games like Metal Slug Mobile you really just have soooo many better options out there. Don't make a mistake and waste 4.99 on this game like I did....

Replay Value: 1/10
Why would you waste time with a game like this when you could be text messaging someone or playing Puzzle Bobble? Personally, I'm not big into text messaging but I can see it would be more productive than this. Don;t let your love of Aqua Teen trick you into throwing your money away. AOL/Time Warner is rich already and they don't need any more of your cash.
