"Now you can hide in a cardboard box on the go."

I had the first Metal Gear game on my Verizon cell phone. Now came the New Every Two, where I can upgrade my phone from Verizon every two years. After come not-so-careful thinking, I chose a new phone. When I was looking for a new game to put on my new phone, in big capital letters I saw a game from the action section: 3D METAL GEAR SOLID MOBILE. Now past experience told me that games with all caps names means cheapness. But I loved Metal Gear Solid. But it was 11 dollars? So I went on YouTube and looked at some videos. A few days later I bought it. So far I have no regrets.

The story is that after MGS1, Revolver Ocelot revealed the technical specifications to make a Metal Gear all over the Black Market, and now almost every rogue country is trying to build their own Metal Gear. A scientist who works at one of the facilities where it's made, Dr. Victoria Reed, wants to defect and in exchange reveal to Solid Snake and Otacon's anti-Metal Gear orgainization, Philanthropy, new details about the first almost completed Metal Gear.

This is a fully 3D Metal Gear Solid Game, featuring Solid Snake as the protagonist. It seems to be a mixture of all 3 games, as has features from the first 3 games. It features most of the equipment from other MGS games, such as the famous cardboard box and rations. It also has about 5 or 6 weapons to choose from, from pistols to a rocket launcher. The sound seems like it was played through a phone, though. The gameplay is smooth enough, but overall you will feel lag sometime. Try having enough free memory on your phone to prevent this. The guards are somewhat intelligent and will check lockers, boxes, and sweep areas to find you if they spot you. You can hide behind walls and choke enemies, in true MGS style. There is even first-person aiming, one of my favorite features of this and most MGS games. The graphics are about Nintendo DS quality. For a cell phone game, that's too good. The popular Virtual Reality missions are even here, although you won't win anything for beating them. Overall the game lasts about 2 hours, and even features unlockables, making you want to play again and again.

Conclusion: If you have a relatively new Verizon cell phone that can play games, go and buy this game. Sure it costs about 11 dollars, but it will probably change how you think about cell phone games ever again.
