Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow (Gameloft)

Review by hyncer

"Not as good as the original"

The original Splinter Cell for the mobile phone was an awesome game, although it was short and easy, it was fun all the way and the gameplay was good. When Pandora Tomorrow came out, I was expecting another awesome Splinter Cell game. But unfortunately, this was 6 bucks wasted.

Graphics: 7.8/10: The overall graphics are O.K, I pulled the appropriate amount of strings considering this was a mobile game, but there are some flaws. The screen is very dark, even when the backlight is on or when i'm in the sun. The original Splinter Cell did not have these problems, I don't know why all of a sudden they decided to make the screen dark. The graphic would probably be much better if it was brighter, because when it is dark sometimes it is hard to tell if there is an obstacle in front of you, so when you shoot at an enemy the bullet hits something in mid-air and you look closer to realize a crate was there and the bullet then gets the guards attention and he rings the alarm. This happens all the time. Trust me. Other then brightness, the graphics are O.K.

Controls: 9/10: They slightly improved the controls over the last Splinter Cell, instead of using the arrow keys and the OK button to shoot, they added more controls to the game, such as 0 to target guards at angles, 5 while crouching to pick up guards bodies, and more extras that make the game better. Games like this are better to play with the numbers instead of the arrows.

Gameplay: 2.8/10: If it weren't for the gameplay, this game would probably be incredible. But unfortunately, the gameplay ruined it all. The major downfall to the gameplay is that you move SO SLOW. When you press the right button, first off it takes about 2 seconds to actually move. And your going slow. Real slow. Then after about 3 seconds after that, he starts going a little faster. It is really annoying having to move so slow all the time. The slow reaction rate aren't just by moving, it's by everything. When you jump, it takes 2 seconds to react before he actually jumps. Same with targetting, shooting, and everything in the game. This feature alone has enough power to make people consider this game as crap.

Replay Value: 5/10: I wouldn't really play through this game again, but if you have no other good games on your mobile then its not like you have a choice. But if you do have other games, play through this game once and don't touch it again.

Overall Score: 6/10: I loved the original Splinter Cell, but Pandora Tomorrow really fails to make a good game compared to it. I can't really find any good points in this game to convince you to buy it, go with another game instead.
