Monster Truck Madness 64
Review by Snake 166
"This game was full of potential"
When I read some previews of Monster Truck Madness 64, it sounded great. Many multi-player modes and a fun 1 player mode. So I bought it and returned it the next day. Here's why.
Graphics 6 out of 10- The trucks are very detailed but the background graphics look like a Super Nes game.
Sound 6 out of 10- The trucks sound all right but more like a car than a monster truck. The announcer gets very annoying when he keeps repeating "This could be a living event in the year 2000".
Gameplay 4 out of 10- Driving a monster truck around like a mad man sounds fun, right? This game completely ruins that experience. Combined with the annoying announcer, bad controls, and boring multi-player this game is not fun.
Controls 0 out of 10- Have you ever played Twisted Metal 3? This game is just like that. Your truck flips if you hit a little rock. And the truck slides around like it's on ice. VERY BAD
Replayability 3 out of 10- I would have given this a 0 but the Summit Rumble is fun for about 30 minutes.
Overall 3 out of 10- Rent or Buy? Rent because of the Summit Rumble but only rent it if there is nothing else there that would not be fun at all. NEVER BUY THIS HORRIBLE GAME!
