"A major let down from last year...very dissapointed"

Alright, I was not expecting anything much from this game on account I had bought it at Gamestop for only a buck. And I actually regret buying the game...

Graphics
They are basically the game as last year. The face masks on the players look a little better. When the cheerleaders come out at halftime they look ok. Things tend to get really blurry during the actually game though. It can be hard to see at times and it can just get really confusing. You better have a big TV to play this on cause I can barley see whats going on with a big screen.

Controls
Well a couple things changed from the previous two games. You don't sprint faster with the A button. I have no clue how to accelerate and I always get tackled if I catch ball and I can't get YAC. You catch the ball with the left C. Tackle with B. The controls are basically the same as the first one. As long as you know the A isn't sprint you should do fine, and as long as you can see whats going on in the game.

Sound
The menu music is pretty lame, nothing special there. The intro music sounds like something they came up with in under a minute and put no effort into it. But you can hear the hard hitting tackles and other things like that. They same announcers as last year, including one the did ESPN Sunday Night Football last year, Paul McGuire.

Gameplay
Terrible. As I said before, you can barley see anything that even goes on during the game it self. They players look like hugs blobs moving around in slow motion or something. Players with break a lot of tackles on account its hard to tackle, too. It doesn't really matter if you play this game with 2 or more people because its just too complicated. They should have stuck with the same engine as last year. But there is a Franchise, Exhibition and an NFL Draft where you can draft the players you want to a team. Also, you can create players and teams.

Replay Value
No matter if you are doing a franchise or just wanted to play a one on one game with someone, don't choose this game to do it. It will not be fun what so ever. You will probably get sick of franchise. You will probably get sick of the game it self, but if you like it for some reason then just keep doing franchise. I don't really see a reason to keep playing the game though when 99 was better.

Rent or Buy
If you just wanted to add it to your collection then buy it, I got if to one dollar at gamestop along with NFL Blitz 2000. I doubt you can rent the game anymore because most places don't have Nintendo 64 games for rent. I don't see a reason to buy it either. Its really up to you. Trying playing it at one of your friends house first. Then make your choice.
