Quest 64
Review by Vincento
"I happen to like hitting people with a stick!"
How can anyone give this game anything below a 10. It was a classic! A warp back in time to a sweet time period of awesome medieval stuff. The game play is great, the plot was pretty good, and overall it was a good game. The audio visual was what I like about the most about the game.
Game play - 9
I happened to love the idea of the elements. I also really liked the battle system. I liked how you had to aim your attacks. I also liked the amount of different attacks you could get from putting stats into elements. The unique way of how you gained HP, MP, defense, and agility was very interesting. The one and only flaw in the game play of this game was how you couldn't see where or when you would fight monsters. There should be some sort of designated fighting area where you could have stepped into it and fought whenever you wanted so you wouldn't be interrupted when you're trying to get some where.
Plot - 8
Although confusing at times and hard to understand at times, the plot was a very good one. The twists in the plot were very interesting. It was kind of like reading a fairy tale book at times only a little more violent.
Difficulty - 7 (10 being the hardest, 1 being the easiest)
The game was hard for a couple of reasons. One being that you had to have the wings of a town in order to get to that town automatically. Forgetting wings can be very disastrous. Another would be the rarity of healing potions. You can't buy healing potions in this game, so you'll have to keep all the healing items you have all the way through the game.
Audio Visual - 9
The Audio Visual factor of Quest gave new meaning to RPGs with some sweet music and sweet graphics. The thing that impressed me the most was probably Baragoon Moor and Brannoch. The black skies were really awesome and the purple skies over the ocean were just great graphics. Some may say the graphics were junky and no good but I think they were very good, especially some of your magical attacks.
Overall - 9
Although I highly doubt you can find this game anywhere, I would recommend you to buy it if you could find it. I had a blast playing the game and anyone else could also. It was a great RPG for Nintendo 64.
