"Why all the hype?"

Yeah. ''Why all the hype?'', it's because people thought racing in real-life environments with R/C (Radio-Controlled) cars would be a good idea. It actually is. It's a fresh twist to racing, plus, you gas to make your own tracks (with limitations, of course). you can even make one of your tracks longer then the longest track in the game. I played this game so many times, it's almost second-nature to use the controls. Everything's always in the right place all the time, which mean that you can press a button, and then press another button, and another, vary smoothly without requiring the release of the gas, or acceleration if you're not driving one of the gas-powered cars. Any type of car you can think of is in here. oh yeah, there's even a Rebound-type racer in this game. (If you don't remember, it's made by TYCO®.) I like it, I like the concept, and I like the over enjoyability of the game. Here's the summary:

Story: 7/10 (%17.5)

It's nothing I heard before. It's very... Fresh. There's this company called Toy-Volt, and they created these R/C cars. They must of made them too good, because they all escaped, and form this race to become the best of the best in five types, consisting of 5 cars of each type, all racing in four different cups. Kinda like Road Rash Jailbreak, except it's like playing Mario Kart 64.

Controls: 10/10 (%25)

If there's one word for it, then it's ''smooth''. Almost like a modified Mario Kart 64 scheme.

Gameplay: 9/10 (%22.5)

You'll get a lot of playtime out of this. Your friends with their PS2's, Xboxes, and Gamecubes will even be shocked as to how fun it is holding a Nintendo 64 controller.

Replayability: 10/10 (%25)

Like I said, ''You'll get a lit of playtime out of this.'' And you will, considering that there are lots of ways to play this game, and the added bonus of a Track Editor will add EXTRA hours just creating a track, and trying it out. (Too bad they can only be played in Single Race in the N64 version. Damn you sega, why do you always get the breaks?!?)

Frustration: 3/10 (-%7.5

I found little frustration for this game. Of course, People are different, so nonetheless, this is my opinion, and I'm sticking to it.

Learning Curve: 5-10 Min.

Very short learning curve learning basic controls if you know what you're doing.

Overall: 8 (82.5 rounded up=%83 rounded down=%80 divided by 10=8)

It's a very good game, and worth your dollar. I recommend renting it first, but like I said, it's a very good game. It has some slow-down though, so be cautioned when building a large track.
