When I was browsing through GameFAQs, I noticed there weren't very many
_complete_ FAQs for Star Fox. This struck me as odd, due to the fact
that Star Fox was sort of an entry game to the 64. I mean, this is the
first game with real dialogue, a sound test option and a real
simulation to airplane flight. Well, there are a LOT of people who think
the same of this game, so I made a longer, better FAQ to this
game. That is what I do (sorry, for those of you who wrote a FAQ on
Star Fox, but I had to get that off my chest).

This FAQ supports the 'easy find' method to find things. For example,
if you want to find the Walkthrough / Bosses section then type Crtl + F
then a Find dialog box will appear. Type the number -7- and click Find
Now. If you refer to the Table of Contents, you'll find the numbers to
type. Some browsers do not support this though.

---Fox McCloud----------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Fox
Gender: Male

The character that you're portraying. He can't believe daddy's really
gone... okay, too sappy.

---Peppy Hare-----------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Hare
Gender: Male

Yay. The old fogey. He's a good source of information though. He tells
you how to beat bosses! After they've killed you!

---Slippy Toad----------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Toad
Gender: MALE! OH MY GOD!!!

The mechanical wizard. Slippy can put up the shield gauge of a boss but
can't fly to save it's a**. Literally! This just in: Slippy is a boy
due to the closing cut-scene of Aquas when Peppy says, "I guess he's
not such a screw-up after all," and Slippy replies, "Thanks a lot,
Peppy!"

---Falco Lombardi-------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Lombardi (type of bird)
Gender: Male

The good ol' whiny baby! He gets mad at you for saving him after he
asks! He's a real good flyer though.

---Andross--------------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Human (well, not really, he transforms into... something... I
       can't tell, it'll spoil it)
Gender: Male

The bad guy. All he wants is control of the Lylat System but won't run
for office. What a lazy guy!

                                                                  -4.02-

---General Pepper-------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Dog
Gender: Male

Does he have a first name? Any-hoo, he is the big gruff guy that sends
you on your missions and pretends to do paperwork. Sorry that he sent
James to his death -- but also glad he doesn't have to pay him anymore.

---Bill Grey------------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Dog
Gender: Male

Fox's friend from the Cornerian Flight Academy. Tends to forgive you if
you shoot him (I wouldn't forgive you, I'd be dead, hee, hee).

---Katt Monroe----------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Cat
Gender: Female (the only one! Unless you count Slippy)

Look what the Katt dragged in! Katt has the hots for Falco, but he
thinks she's dead. She's gonna make sure he knows she's alive, and soon
(rowr!).

---Wolf O'Donnel--------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Wolf
Gender: Male

The head of the Star Wolf Team, he want's Fox to die... but I'm sure
he's got better qualities. Like what? I don't know.

---Leon Powalski--------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Chameleon
Gender: Male

A Chameleon that doesn't change colour! Holy cow! Going to play Gex in
Gex 4: The Remote of Doom (just kidding)!

---Pigma Dengar---------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Pig
Gender: Male

He sold out his comrades for money, but can money save him from Fox
Probably.

---Andrew Oikonny-------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Ape
Gender: Male

Andross' nephew. This puzzles me because...

{SPOILER -- CONTINUE AT YOUR OWN RISK}

...Andross is a brain. I mean, how could a brain have... you know...
it... no offence!

---James McCloud--------------------------------------------------------
Animal: Fox
Gender: Male

Killed by Andross, but rumors say that he may still lurk on Venom...
hmm... time for Sherlock Fox!

                                                                  -4.03-

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow! I _finally_ have the Star Fox enemy names! This deserves some BIG
credit  from  RedDemon (I think his real name is Skyler Boerens but...);
he gave me all these names. Also the way these are laid out is this:

Also note that they are in alphabetical order.

---Angler Fish----------------------------------------------------------
Description: Big fish with light attached

These take forever to kill and if you run into them you can get some
serious damage.

---Aquas Squid----------------------------------------------------------
Description: Squid

They don't do much but jump up and down, simply use a torpedo to take
care of them.

---Borzoi Fighters------------------------------------------------------
Description: Pointed V-like winged craft

They move fast and quick, they also fire quick so you have to be ready.

---Desert Crawlers------------------------------------------------------
Description: Spider-like craft with a red outside

They are easy to kill 'cause they are extremely slow.

---Desert Rovers--------------------------------------------------------
Description: A
tank like structure with a big barrel

They don't maneuver well but have good weapons to fire at you with.

---Firebirds------------------------------------------------------------
Description: Red Birds (the designers could've put in a few more
       polygons...)

These guys drop bombs that burst into columns that could hit you.

---Flip Bots------------------------------------------------------------
Description: Silver front with red back

You must hit them in the red section on the back or you will do no
damage to them.

---Garudas--------------------------------------------------------------
Description: Machines on tank-like wheels, with big hands

Garudas go around destroying buildings; you have to be careful of
falling buildings around you.

---Giant Spindly Fish---------------------------------------------------
Description: Long, skinny fish

These lurk in Aquas, they swim fast and don't do much, but you can get
some quick points off of them.

---Granga Fighters------------------------------------------------------
Description: Blue winged, dark blue strip in the middle

These are ones that can attack, they are pretty slow but pose a threat.

---Hop
Bot--------------------------------------------------------------Description:
Silver jumping robot

Aim for them in advance or they could cost you the game.

---Invader II-----------------------------------------------------------
Description: A craft with a green line in the center, with green wings

They are slow and easy to target.

---Invader III----------------------------------------------------------
Description: Look like Invader II

They are more advanced and will chase you down.

---Kani-----------------------------------------------------------------
Description: Spider-like craft with zebra stripes

These are extremely fast, use a charged laser to kill them.

---Killer Bee-----------------------------------------------------------
Description: A bee... thing that fires rings at you

You can't lock on these suckers, so you need to blast them with regular
lasers. these Killer Bees can be horrible when grouped in twos or
threes.

---Laser Cannon---------------------------------------------------------
Description: Ground Cannons with big barrels and red stripes

These are easy to kill, but they can be deadly with a combination of
air fighters.

---Moras----------------------------------------------------------------
Description: Long snake-like creatures

Aim for the head; it will kill them quickly.

---Ski Bots-------------------------------------------------------------
Description: Robots on skis only found on water

They don't attack but you can run into them.

---Solar Prominences----------------------------------------------------
Description: Large columns of fire coming out of the lava of Solar

They're not potential enemies, but they can be destroyed with a bomb.

---Starfish-------------------------------------------------------------
Description: Starfish

These are dangerous if there is a lot of them because they explode when
they get close to you, so fire off torpedoes before you get to it.

---Web Ships------------------------------------------------------------
Description: Little ships that create web-like structure to block you

Really you don't need to worry about killing the ships, just bypass the
structure of the 'web'.

---Wolfen I-------------------------------------------------------------
Description: Two fronts and a two winged craft

This is what Star Wolf and company use. You cannot inflict any damage
to these with charged shots or bombs.

---Wolfen II------------------------------------------------------------
Description: Just like Wolfen I but with One Pink Strip with Blue

These are much better than the Arwing is, but can be defeated.

---Z-Serpents-----------------------------------------------------------
Description: Look just like big birds

They run into you by accident sometimes but other than that they are
harmless.

---Story----------------------------------------------------------------
In a system called the Lylat System, a Cornerian scientist by the name
of Andross went crazy. He unleashed a bio-weapon on his home world of
Corneria and he was charged for treason and was banished to the world of
Venom.

Five years have passed, and a certain general by the name of Pepper
noticed strange activity coming from the planet Venom. So, he sent the
old Star Fox team consisting of James McCloud, Pigma Dengar, and Peppy
Hare, to investigate.

As they arrived, Andross opened a private com-link to Pigma, offering
him money to bring James and Peppy into his trap. James fell victim in
his trap and Peppy just barely escaped. On the power he had left, Peppy
returned home and told James' son Fox... the bad news.

Another five years have gone by, and General Pepper has formed a new
Star Fox team, due to the fact that Andross has attacked the entirety of
the Lylat System. This time Fox McCloud, Peppy Hare, Slippy Toad, and
Falco Lombardi, will not fail.

---Your Objective-------------------------------------------------------
What you must do is defeat Andross! ...but there's more to it than that.
You must go through the Lylat system, where Andross is trying to stop
you from getting to him. YOU get to choose the route and YOU are meant
to go through seven (of sixteen) missions. Are YOU up to it?

                                                                  -5.02-
------------------------------------------------------------------------
                   F L O W O F T H E G A M E
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The game flows in three modes:

---Corridor Mode--------------------------------------------------------
Corridor mode is when you just fly straight through the level. If you
fly off to one side, there will be an arrow preventing you from going
further.

---Corridor Bosses------------------------------------------------------
Corridor Bosses have the same properties as Corridor Mode but you don't
move.

---All-Range Mode-------------------------------------------------------
All-range mode lets you fly everywhere until you reach the edge of the
map; you then do an automatic U-turn.

                                                                  -5.03-

These are the things you can pick on the main menu! [evil giggles][cell
door shutting]

---Main Game------------------------------------------------------------
This mode lets you play the game normally through the levels.

---VS.------------------------------------------------------------------
Should be 'Versus'... oh well. You play head to head with a stupid
freak... uh, I mean your friends. You can play through point match:
killing your friends for points. Or you could try time trial: killing
enemies for points (kill your friends, then check their point score,
hee, heh, heh). And for last, try battle royal: it gives you 1, that's 1
life to screw up. Oh, and I forgot to mention: Do you remember the
commercials when the game had just come out? They showed four little
screens. That's how it is no matter how many players play.

---Training-------------------------------------------------------------
Just train. The trainer tells you what to do if you want to complete it.
My tip: go for the rings.

---Ranking--------------------------------------------------------------
Check your (bad) scores. My best is 1568! HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA!!!

---Sound----------------------------------------------------------------
Fiddle (fiddle?) with sound settings.

---Data-----------------------------------------------------------------
Delete all the current saved data. It'll warn you a couple of times
then... ka-poof!

                                                                  -5.05-

Wow! The glorious items! Ahh...

---Supply Ring----------------------------------------------------------
Description: A silver ring.
Effect: Refills the Shield Gauge slightly.

---Shield Ring----------------------------------------------------------
Description: A gold ring.
Effect: Refills the shield gauge slightly. Collect three for a
larger Gauge. Collect another three for an extra Arwing.

---Supply Star----------------------------------------------------------
Description: A silver star.
Effect: Refills half of the shield gauge.

---Laser Power-Up-------------------------------------------------------
Description: An 'L' item that has laser sides.
Effect: Upgrades your laser. Can go from 'single' to 'double'
       to 'hyper'.

---Wing Repair----------------------------------------------------------
Description: A little pair of wings, hee, hee!
Effect: If you run into a few things, your wings will fall off.
Repair them with the wing repair.

---Bomb-----------------------------------------------------------------
Description: A red octagon with a 'B' on it
Effect: Adds one bomb to your stock to a maximum of nine (don't
       cry, that's a lot).

---Checkpoint-----------------------------------------------------------
Description: A circle of triangles with 'checkpoint' written in the
       center.
Effect: Refills half of your shield gauge. If you die (ha, ha, ha,
ha, ha) you will return to the checkpoint.

---Extra Arwing---------------------------------------------------------
Description: A smaller version of the Arwing.
Effect: Adds one life to your counter (very rare).

---ROB64 Container------------------------------------------------------
Description: A crate with a Z on it.
Effect: Shoot the container open, and retrieve the item inside.

                                                                  -5.06-

                                     -Enter Star Fox-

---Background-----------------------------------------------------------
This is the first level so I'll explain how this part of the FAQ works
as we go along. This is the story of the level.

The Cornerian Army can't hold back Andross' forces much longer. That's
were you come in; come in and defeat the leader.

---Level Stats----------------------------------------------------------
This is the info about the planet and stuff.

Mission: #1
Difficulty: Easy
Bosses: Granga and Attack Carrier
Area: Planet (grass, ocean)
Vehicle: Arwing
Medal: 150 points needed

---How to Beat Route #1-------------------------------------------------
Play through the level as normal and defeat Granga.

---How to Beat Route #2-------------------------------------------------
Play through the level until you get to the part where Falco gets in
trouble. Here you must save Falco. Now when you get to the second part
of the water, fly through the arches creeping up through the water.

---Boss: Granga---------------------------------------------------------
This is pretty easy, but there is one hard point: the extra Arwing. I'll
explain this in the secrets section.

Any-hoo, after the 'all range mode' cut-scene, you are faced with
Granga. Start to pummel his legs with laser fire and pull a turbo boost
under his legs. Execute a U-turn and if he didn't fall, shoot his legs
again, this time he should definitely fall.

As he's falling, turbo boost through his legs again and do another U-
turn, now bomb and fire at his green backpack like crazy! Repeat as
necessary.

Yay! The evil robot blew up in the worst explosion ever! Yippee!

---Boss: Attack Carrier-------------------------------------------------
Just another simple boss but can pose a slight challenge for beginners.
Still only one star.

As Peppy advises, "Incoming enemy from behind. Drop altitude." Do so
(drop altitude means go down, Einstein). He'll pass you, and then you
can go up. Yay! He's got a present for ya! Too bad it's enemies. As they
come out, shoot the openings from which they come. They will eventually
go.

At this time he'll start to shoot at you. Shoot back. This will actually
start depleting his life. Keep at it until... bye-bye Attack Carrier!
See ya... NEVER AGAIN!

                                                                  -7.02-

                     -Fierce Melee-

---Background-----------------------------------------------------------
You decide to take a shortcut through the Asteroid field and General
Pepper tells you there's strange activity there. You decide to
investigate. Just hope Andross' forces haven't inhabited the area...

---Level Stats----------------------------------------------------------
Mission: #2
Difficulty: Easy
Bosses: Meteo Crusher
Area: Asteroid Field (unusually dense)
Vehicle: Arwing
Medal: 200 points needed

---My Level Comment-----------------------------------------------------
You won't find this very often, so when you do, read it!

Why is Meteo so dense? I read a book that said, "in an asteroid field,
the asteroids are between 1000 - 100 000 km. away from each other." The
asteroids in Meteo, however, are between 10 - 20 METERS apart! Could
someone PLEASE tell me what's going on? Did Earth just send out a whole
bunch of asteroids into space, or is this game just real unrealistic?
I'm so confused! Ohh!

---How to Beat Route #1-------------------------------------------------
All you need to do is play through the level and defeat the Meteo
Crusher at the end.

---How to Beat Route #2-------------------------------------------------
Near the end, there will be things that resemble checkpoints. Fly
through them and you will go faster. Fly through all of them to warp to
the warp section and head to Katina.

---Boss: Meteo Crusher--------------------------------------------------
This boss is harder than the Cornerian bosses but is still pretty easy
compared to the others ahead.

This boss is split into sections. The first being the energy absorption
shield. This shield absorbs everything that is shot into it and it
shoots back at you. The way to avoid it is to find the crack in it. As
it spins, there will be yellow triangles in the crack. Shoot them until
all of them explode.

The next section is the Particle Beam. A beam will fire at you in okay
effects (actually, they are... ROTTEN! hee, hee). There will be a yellow
diamond in the middle; shoot it between the times he shoots a beam at
you.

The last section is the rings (I couldn't think up a good name). They're
these pink rings that the Crusher throws at you. There are two yellow
rectangles you must shoot. In between rings, shoot them. To avoid the
rings, pull a loop.

(dryly) You beat the boss. Yay.

                                                                  -7.03-

interesting. [exaggerated yawn]

---Level Stats----------------------------------------------------------
Mission: #3
Difficulty: Easy
Bosses: Star Wolf Team
Area: Barren, Snow-Covered Planet
Vehicle: Arwing
Medal: 50 points needed

---How to Beat Route #1-------------------------------------------------
Simply, survive.

---How to Beat Route #2-------------------------------------------------
Defeat the Star Wolf Team in under five minutes.

---Boss: Star Wolf Team-------------------------------------------------
The Star Wolf Team... this time, is a little easy. Just wait until next
time... heh, heh, heh... how many times have you told me to shut up?
Hmm?

Any-hoo, (I love that word) they will come at you. Well, simply shoot
them! If you find bullets flying past you pull a loop and Star Wolf will
go, "What the heck?" and then you can pump him full of plasma! Also, you
don't even have to beat them, because they'll fly away before the bomb
blows.

Oh, and one last thing, if Slippy calls for help, help it (no-one really
knows Slippy's gender).

---Boss: Spyborg--------------------------------------------------------
What can I say? Easy boss, easy level. Good?

That thing... it's weird. Any-hoo, (I told you I loved that word) you
should see it coming by. This is the time that it will say, "You are an
enemy," and it will attack. Swerve to avoid the rings and you'll do just
fine. Just attack the yellow parts on the head and it'll blow off, killing
it.

Yay! You beat Spyborg-- What? It came back to life! Oh, no... oh, well.

Now giant, metal boards will be flung at you from off screen. Go to the
upper right to avoid them. Shoot the [gasps] RED thing on it's head
until it dies and-- Slippy! Get out of there! Whack! There it goes...
you took too long... better go get it (this only happens if you're
REALLY slow, so don't worry... unless you _want_ to go to Titania).

After Spyborg! Whack! Pow! Zap! Yay! It died, and it left electro
magnetic thingies! Hee, hee, hee!

---Boss: Goras----------------------------------------------------------
Beginners will find this boss a mutual challenge. What does mutual mean?

Any-hoo, (shoot me, I love a word. I need help) coming up to Goras finds
you with three of his four hands; one of which has Slippy. Shoot them a
couple of times, avoiding the attacks in the process. Swerve side to
side to accomplish this. They will run away. We won! Only... they took
Slippy. Oh, well. We can always find another-- Slippy! There you are!
And you brought a friend... grrr...

(sadly) Well here's the real Goras. Yay. Better kill 'im. Any-hoo,
(startin' to bug ya, I know... it bugs me) you begin by shooting his
arms (or... whatever they are) and they will fall off. You need to save the
'Slippy Arm' for last. He... err, she... um, it will fly away.
Leaving YOU with Goras! Good for nothing little... um... yeah. Continue
your assault on the last arm and finally, the stomach. Shoot it with
anything and everything.

I forgot to mention the attacks! Well, I-I mean any-hoo, Goras will
attack you with his arms; swerve to avoid. His tail will also assault
you, which it may be a good idea to hover. (happily) Finally, he'll
charge up laser attack on you. There's hardly any way to avoid it
except madly hovering and swerving.

There he goes. See ya! Ahh! His head fell right in your face! Eww...
gross!

                                                                  -7.06-

---Boss: Star Wolf Team-------------------------------------------------
This is cut and pasted from Fortuna's because it's pretty much the same.
I'm cheap! Any-hoo... hee, hee, hee!

If you want, press Start at they're opening sequence (showing their
awesome Wolfen 1s) to skip it. Well, simply shoot them! If you find
bullets flying past you pull a loop and Star Wolf will go, "What the
heck?" and then you can pump him full of plasma! Also, you don't even
have to beat them, because they'll get killed once you destroy the core,
they go boom, too.

Oh, and again. They find Slippy expendable, heh, heh, heh.

---Boss: Core-----------------------------------------------------------
The core isn't really a boss, but it deserves credit.

The core will appear after a while, just listen for Peppy to say, "I see
the enemy core." Then it will pop out of the center. I hope you've got a
few bombs because you should fire those at it. You want to destroy the
yellow things. Lasers still work though, but be careful; after a yellow
thing is destroyed, a blue laser fires back at you. Dodge them.

Wow! A multi-coloured explosion! Yay! Christmas... BOOM! Now, off to
Venom 1...

---Boss: Saucerer-------------------------------------------------------
The mighty Saucerer of Oz! [trumpet blows badly] Wait... that's sorcerer
of Oz. Ohh... that is... the mighty Saucerer of Katina! [trumpet blows]

Any-hoo, (if I had something funny to say, err, type, I would) as you
probably have guessed, the Saucerer is well... a flying saucer! It will
fly over, after you have shot down ten ships (not counting the Cornerian
troops) and it'll open up it's little hangars in the ensued cut-scene
and _more_ little ships will come out making your life a living h***
(can't swear; on a library computer). Oh, and did I mention Bill Grey,
the dog is here 'helping you'. Any-hoo, (I'm seeing a psychiatrist)
shoot the hangars that pop down and they will blow giving you a 'Hit+5'
and a job well done. After ALL of them go (or you take too long) the
core  will  appear,  getting  ready  for the final attack. Don't let it;
shoot it, the core. It will stop and crash after a while. If you don't
kill it, it will blow the Katina base. (dryly) Yay.

The level is done, over with, kaput! Kaput? Where do I come up with
these words?

---Boss: Vulcan---------------------------------------------------------
The boss that everyone thinks is stupid. No, really! Falco even calls
Andross an insane fool! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

(Igor voice from "Frankenstein") It looks like an messenger of evil, Dr.
Kratt. What should we do? (normal voice) Shoot it! Shoot it's arms!
Okay... but really shoot it's arms. They will fall off for you. As you
are doing this don't forget to avoid his attacks. They are as follows:
Rock Spit, shoot the rocks, get the upgrades; Lava Wave, Vulcan will
dive into the lava, creating a wave; and Swipe, a mere slap or punch to
the Arwing. All of these you swerve to the side or up and down to avoid.

Any-hoo, ([maniacal laughter] the doctors... they say... I'm hope-
hope... less... [evil giggling] [cell door shutting]) the head is now
your primary target. Fire at will! As you are firing, two _new_ attacks
will be unleashed on you: a new, bigger edition of Lava Wave; and a
sort of 'body attack'. He flies out of the lava and spins. As he does
so, do your best to avoid the fire-balls that come at you.

(Scotty voice from "Star Trek") The Vulcan is dead sir... and the
transporters are at full capacity. (normal voice) Well... that was

                             -The Forever Train-

---Boss: Mechbeth-------------------------------------------------------
Why do the level and the boss have such a similar name? Because the game
designers were lazy, that's why! What a weird train, huh?

Any-hoo, (if you e-mail me about this, I'll reply: "Who cares; read the
Introduction.") this boss is easy. Well, sort of... you first must
shoot off his head and mouth. This may pose a challenge due to the fact
that he will attack. If you see him charge up (he'll look really gay in
the process) beware of falling thingies! These posts will attack you.
Well not really _attack_ more of "stand in your way." Any-hoo, (come
join me in the mental hospital) he will also try to eat you and throw
you up. This hurts... a lot. You can avoid these by swerving to
avoid. "You can avoid these by swerving to avoid." Geez!

The harder part is to shoot the rest of his life away. This is
accomplished when he fires his boxes at you. The boxes are fired out of
a hole that is created on the back of the train. Shoot at this hole and
Mechbeth will go... CRAZY! Really! He goes nuts! This is your chance to
shoot him. As the beam that Goras fires at you, Mechbeth has one of his
own. Hover and swerve violently to avoid.

There he goes...

{SPOILER -- CONTINUE AT YOUR OWN RISK}

...right into the train. Boy is he an idiot, or what? Oh well, we won
so it doesn't matter, does it? I have a lot of questions, don't I? Hee,
hee, hee!

---Boss: The Switches---------------------------------------------------
This is easy! So easy, I put it in the FAQ! [evil giggles] [cell door
shutting]

This is pretty easy, so you shouldn't have any problems. There are
eight switches; you need to shoot them all to 'accomplish' the mission.
Otherwise, you need to fight Mechbeth.

#1: On the right side of the track; after the building that's after the
    silver rings.

#2: Near the first switch.

#3: On the left side of the track; near the first switch.

#4: Opposite the track of the third on a building. Easier to get while
    hovering.

#5: On the left side of the track. Appears after ROB 64 calls you.

#6: In front of a door you must shoot to open on the right side of the
    track.

#7: On the left side of the track in front of a building. Found after
    the sixth one.

#8: Opposite the seventh. If Falco is here, he'll shoot it for you.
    Yippee!

That takes care of the switches! Enjoy the cut-scene and don't enjoy
Area 6... heh... heh... heh...

                                                                  -7.10-

---Boss: Shogun Warriors------------------------------------------------
These are two little... annoying... guys... that... I... want... to...
MANGLE!!! Phew! Had to get that out! Hee, hee!

The point of this is to get you ready to _battle_ the Shogun Warlord.
So, all you do is shoot at them! Pretty easy I'd say. There, it's over.
Okay, all right, I'll tell you more... sheesh! Any-hoo, (put down the
gun... you don't want to shoot me. I'm writing this FAQ! [gunshot]
Ohh...) they attack by shooting lasers. That's it. Oh! Don't forget
that if you can't find them, pull a U-turn! There. I'm done. There! I'm
done, already! [evil giggling] [cell door shutting]

There they go! Bye-bye! See ya in h***! Heh, heh, heh.

---Boss: Shogun Warlord-------------------------------------------------
Easy-peasy (???)! What? Where DO I come up with these words?

NOTE: Cut and pasted from above.

This should be as hard as the Shogun Warriors were to you. If not? Who
cares? So, all you do is shoot at him! Pretty easy I'd say. There, it's
over. Okay, all right, I'll tell you more... sheesh! Any-hoo, ([groans
of pain] what the-- [gunshot] ohh... that hurt-- [multiple gunshots])
they attack by shooting lasers. That's it. Oh! Don't forget that if you
can't find them, pull a U-turn! There. I'm done. There! I'm done,

---Boss: Bacoon---------------------------------------------------------
Another easy boss. Ho-hum... kill it... ho-hum... hee, hee!

First, destroy the things on top with torpedoes. Do this for two reasons:

1. They shoot snake-like creatures at you.
2. They give you four points each.

Any-hoo, (I'm just not gonna say anything) after they're gone, focus on
the muscles stretched between the top and the bottom of the Bacoon.
Fire anything at them. Just be sure to watch out for the pearls that it
spits at you. They will turn bright-coloured, this is your chance to
fire a homing torpedo at one of them. Then, repeat with the other.
After both of them are destroyed, then the top will fall off, revealing
the eye. Fire at it's outer shell until it flies off. Then, fire a
homing torpedo at the eye. This will start to hurt it. Again, repeat.

Wow, it died. I'm so happy for you! Let's have a party with... [muffled
voice] [muffled screaming] [silence]

                                                                  -7.12-

---Boss: Sarumarine-----------------------------------------------------
The Sarumarine is a Submarine that is inferior to the Blue-Marine but
that doesn't matter because your flying the Arwing, hee, hee!

Any-hoo, (I know, I know... I'll stop saying it... maybe) the
Sarumarine will _swim_ past you and attack you with it's ball thingy.
Swerve to avoid (as with EVERY OTHER ATTACK IN THIS GAME!!! Phew...).
Anyways (I didn't say any-hoo... [multiple gunshots]) fire bombs at
it's smoke-stacks. Don't worry if your supply is limited; Sarumarine
will fire pearls at you with bombs inside. Shoot the peals to uncover
the bombs. Any-hoo, ([multiple gunshots] [gun clicking]) after the
smoke-stacks have fallen off, shoot the sides. They will fall off. Then
this... thing will send out the crane. Fire bombs at the crane and it
will fall off too. The last side must be bombed and then attack it with
whatever you've got. Bombs, lasers, what have you.

(dryly) It died. I'm so happy. Any-hoo... ([multiple gunshots])

                                                                  -7.13-

---Boss: Gorgon---------------------------------------------------------
A _hard_ boss... finally! When was there a four star boss before?
Never! Hmm... very interesting Dr. Kratt (hee, hee).

What? It's the Saucerer! Oh, no... it's just Gorgon. Kill it! Kill it!
Kill it! Kill it! Kill it! Okay, that seems a little harsh... let's
blow it up! Well you'll be faced with Gorgon's 'open' stage. Shoot the
red energy balls. He will lose a little bit of life. Now the tentacles
will appear; shoot them frantically. At best, you'll get two before he
disappears, but now, aim for one. It will blow off and he'll disappear.
Now, destroy the other two in the same fashion. Then he'll send out two
waves of fighters. They're easy-peasy. Now he 'opens up to you'. Shoot
the three, red energy balls and he'll turn red. Now the tentacles will
appear; shoot them frantically. At best, you'll get two before he
disappears, but now, aim for one. It will blow off and he'll disappear.
Now, destroy the other two in the same fashion. Now it's time for...
the... energy beam! If Falco is present wait for when he says, "Look
out Fox!" Then wait in the lower-left corner. If he isn't there, you'll
have to choose by your own judgment. Then destroy the energy balls and
shoot the core with everything.

There you go, off to Venom 2... heh... heh... heh...

                                                                  -7.15-

---Boss: Golmech--------------------------------------------------------
Golmech is probably just part of an ancient civilization, but it is a weapon
of destruction.

Golmech is sort of difficult. You need to shoot it's body parts,
avoiding the booby-traps it sets for you. Then, shoot the head. Pretty
soon, you'll be done. Also; the booby-traps it sets for you are only
walls attacking you.

---Boss: Andross' Robot-------------------------------------------------
This Andross is only a robot. Therefore, it is easy.

Any-hoo, (...) shoot his hands. They will blow up. If he tries to suck
you up, fire a bomb. Also, if he tries to swipe you, go up or down.
Then, shoot his eyes. This will blow off his face, revealing the robot
inside. Shoot it with bombs or lasers. Well, that was...
straightforward.

It's finally over! Andross is just a robot... but who's that
laughing... hmm...

                                                                  -7.16-

---Boss: The Disfigured Star Wolf Team----------------------------------
The oh, so disfigured Star Wolf Team! If you enter this from Fortuna,
this makes sense because you blew them up and they needed surgery, but
if you take a different route, they are still disfigured. Hmm...

This is a HARD boss for beginners. You _need_ hyper lasers for this.
Even I need hypers for this... but... uh... forget that! Shoot them as
fast as you can; no bombs, no lock-on lasers (aww...). I know you will
probably die 7-9 times. So don't feel bad if you do. Any-hoo, (if you
shoot me, I won't give you-- [gunshot] this-- [gunshot] candy... ohh...
[multiple gunshots]) if you see bullets flying past you, pull a loop
and Wolf will fly past you. Pump him full of plasma! Hee, hee, hee!
Shoot all of them. If your wingmen ask for help; give it to them. Their
attackers will attack you if their not there.

Well... they're gone! Now, you're, "Goin' it alone from here."

---Boss: Andross' Real Self---------------------------------------------
Andross is very simple compared to the Star Wolf Team; and I know a
path that'll load you up. It is in a diagram:

<--  -->  <--  <--  -->  -->

Note that you can take any route to Andross.

Go to Andross and shoot his hands. They will blow up. If he tries to
suck you up, fire a bomb. Also, if he tries to swipe you, go up or
down. Then, shoot his eyes. This will blow off his face, revealing the
brain inside. Then, his eyeballs come out. Boost over the left side of
the brain, and then you can start to shoot the eyes. After they've
gone, you can focus on the brain. Shoot the green medulla and he'll die
after a while. Just watch out for the 'poop' that he 'eliminates' and
the fact that he chews you if you get _too close_. If he decides to
disappear, then pull a loop.

He's dead! He just won't go alone... aaaahhhhh!!!

                                                                  -7.17-

[happy music] Yay! You did it! You read my boss FAQ without dying! And
you beat the game! YAY!!! Yippee!

In Corneria, you can get the extra Arwing by flying through Granga's

---In Sector Y----------------------------------------------------------
In Sector Y, you can get the extra Arwing when your teammates form a
triangle. Boost up to make it a diamond, and the Arwing is yours!

---In Venom-------------------------------------------------------------
You MUST be in route #2. Once you beat the Star Wolf Team, turn in this
fashion:

I guess I could have said go right, then left, but that's no fun.

---Asteroid Hologram----------------------------------------------------
At the opening scene of Meteo, the Great Fox comes in, firing at all
the asteroids and missing two. The first, which you can plainly see,
blows up on the outer wing. The other, on the other side which is
harder to see, flies THROUGH the left wing! Wow!

---Talk More, Pepper!---------------------------------------------------
If you go into Training and turn off the aiming sight (Pause and press
R), quit the training and press B. This brings you to the title screen.
Wait, while not pressing anything, and the opening cut-scene should
restart. General Pepper doesn't talk as much! Finally we don't have to
listen to most of his belly-aching!

---Infinite Point Match-------------------------------------------------
To extend a Point Match as long as you like, first begin a three-player,
five-point match. The trick is to have one player rack up four wins and
then defeat the other two players simultaneously. If the two players are
defeated at the exact same moment, the win counter will jump to six
points, going past the normal limit of five points. The match will
continue until you reset the game. This trick works best if the two
'target' players are characters, not tanks or Arwings.

                                                                  -8.03-

---Medal List-----------------------------------------------------------
To get a medal, you must keep all of your wingmen alive and get a
certain amount of points for the level you are on. The point values are
displayed here:

What these things are used for are displayed below in other sections.

---Expert Mode----------------------------------------------------------
There is an expert mode for Star Fox! I knew you wouldn't care. Any-hoo, you
get it by getting all the medals from Main Game. Then little arrows will
appear on the Main Game 'selector'. Press left or right on the Control Stick
to get to Expert Mode.

BRIEF EXPLANATION: Expert mode is for experts -- enemies will increase,
items will decrease, and if you run into ONE thing your wings
       will fall off.

---Expert Training------------------------------------------------------
If you get Expert Mode, (see above) switch to it, and select Training,
it will be harder. Whoo. How interesting.

---Sound Test-----------------------------------------------------------
If you get all the medals in Main Game, there will be little arrows on
the sides of the Sound 'selector'. Press left or right on the Control
Stick and it will say Expert. Pick it for a sound test. Press C-Down to
change the display.

---More VS. Vehicles----------------------------------------------------
To get more V.S. Characters, simply get a medal on Venom. In Main Game,
you can play as the Landmaster, Expert unlocks the actual characters.
Yay. I bet you're happy.

You have just read a work by...

                            >-=--=--=--=--=-<

                            >-=--=--=--=--=-<
