1.                                 CONTROLS
L-Button/Control Pad: Nothing, R-Button: Change view, Start Button: Pause, 
Control Stick: Move Mario, Z-Button, Crouch, C-Left: Rotate camera left, C-Up: 
Zoom in, C-Right: Rotate camera right, C-Down: Zoom out, A-Button: Jump, B-
Button: Punch. 
2.                               MARIO'S MOVES
-On ground:
Jump: Press A. (The longer you hold down the A button for jumps, the higher 
you will jump.)
Double Jump: Jump, then when you land immediately press A again.
Triple Jump: Run in any direction, Jump, Double Jump, then press A when you 
land.
Side Somersault: Run in any direction, then go the exact opposite direction 
and jump.
Punch: Press B, and press it three times in a row to do a punch, punch, kick 
combo. You can also pick up some things by going close to them and punching.
Dive: Run in any direction, and press B. (Press B again to make Mario get up. 
You can also do this in the air.)
Jump kick: Jump and press B.
Pound: Jump and press Z.
Duck: Press Z.
Backflip: Duck, then press A.
Sweep Kick: Duck and press B.
Long Jump: Run, press Z, and immediately press A.
Slide: Run, Press Z, then press B immediately afterward.
Wall-jump: Jump at a wall, then when you hit it, immediately press A and the 
direction you want to jump.

-In water, swimming:
Press up on the analog stick to dive, and down on the analog stick to surface, 
then flutter kick or stroke to move.
Flutter Kick: Press and hold A.
Stroke: Press A. (To go fastest, press A again when his arms are at his sides, 
and again, and.)
Grab: Press B underwater to grab forward. I think it throws things under 
water.
Jump out: Surface, then hold down, then press A, then immediately hold forward 
to jump out.

-In the air, flying:
Press up on the analog stick to dive, and up to go higher.
To slow down when you are falling or landing, hold A.
Land: Press Z in mid-air.

-Hanging from a ledge:
To hang from a ledge, slowly walk towards the edge, or jump to it.
Climb back up: Press forward on the analog stick to slowly climb back up, or 
press A to jump up quickly.
Jump off: Press Z or hold back on the analog stick.




This walkthrough will guide you to get all of the 120 power stars. If you want 
to explore for yourself, please don't read past your location in the game. I'm 
also assuming you know how to get the 100 coin stars. I also have put (*1-120) 
for suggested order on getting the stars.


- Bomb-omb Battlefield: Go in the door to the left side that has a star on it. 
Jump into the painting.

Star 1: Go up the ramp, then walk to the huge chain-chomp. Go across the 
bridge, and go forward, turn right, and go through the caged-in area. Run 
through the balls, then go up the hill. Go up to the Bomb-omb King, then run 
around him and grab him, then throw him to the ground. Do this three times. 
Grab the star when he explodes. (*1)
Star 2: Talk to the second Bomb-omb to set-up the cannon. Go to the turtle. Go 
up the ramp, through the caged area, through the balls, up the hill until you 
see a hole in the wall, get near the back of the hole, it should teleport you 
near the finish, and he won't count you for cheating! Climb onto the flag, 
then wait until Koopa the Quick comes. Get the star when he gives it to you.

Star 3: Go up the ramp, Go to the cannon in the field, then look at the 
island, and aim as high as you can. Shoot out, then hit the yellow box and 
grab the star. (*3)
Star 4: Go to the conveyer belt and grab the red coin as you get off. Then run 
right to the top of the large rock and grab the next red coin. Then get into 
the cannon, look at the island, and aim all the way up. Grab the red coin on 
top of the tree, then jump back down. Go to the chain chomp, and right as he 
finishes his lunge, quickly run toward, jump and grab the fourth red coin. Go 
across the bridge and go left into the meadow. Grab the two red coins. Go to 
the big field and go down the path just left of the caged area. Detonate the 
Bomb-omb, then grab the 1-up and seventh red coin, then hit the switch. Climb 
the ramp, then go in the middle of the flower patch. It should teleport you 
back to the field. Climb up the mountain until you see a grassy path going 
down, slide down and grab the last red coin. Then head back to the meadow and 
grab the star. (*4)

NOTE: Get both stars from Princess' Secret Slide, and then get 4 stars from 
Whomp's Fortress before star 5, because you need to get 10 Stars before you 
can access the wing cap bonus level.

Star 5: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star(*12) Now that you 
have the wing cap, shoot up to the island in the sky, grab the wing cap, and 
quickly get into the cannon, you must grab all 5 coins in the center of the 
rings, then land in the meadow for the star. (*13)
Star 6: Go up the ramp, go to the chain chomp, wait until he lunges, then 
quickly run to his post and pound it 3 times. Then grab the star in the 
mountain. (*14)


-Princess' Secret Slide: Go up stairs, then go to the right door. Then go into 
the right window.

Star 1: Go down slide carefully, eventually, you will end up in the room with 
the box. Open it and grab the star. (*5)
Star 2: Go down slide until the part where it goes uphill, a little before the 
end, jump off to the right, and if you recover fast enough and get down the 
hill quick, and if your time is less than 21 seconds, you will get the star.

-Whomp's Fortress: Go to the right of the stairs, it's the door with the star 
that has 1 on it.

Star 1: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star) (*7) Jump up onto 
the platform, then backflip onto the ramp going up. Despose of the flower, 
then across the falling gray blocks and the ramp. Go onto the rotating 
platform, then run to the center, and get off as it goes the other way. Go on 
the conveyor belt, and ride up to the top. Fool the boss into falling, then 
stomp on his back. Repeat three times, then grab the star when he explodes.

Star 2: Jump up onto the platform, then backflip onto the ramp going up. 
Despose of the flower, then across the falling gray blocks and the ramp. Go 
onto the rotating platform, then run to the center, and get off as it goes the 
other way. Go on the conveyor belt, and ride up to the top. Make your way up 
the tower and grab the star. (*9)
Star 3: Go jump on the platform, then backflip onto the ramp, go left, and 
talk to the bomb-omb buddy to set-up the cannon. Get into the cannon, then 
look at the middle pillar, then aim so the middle of the cross-hairs is right 
on the top edge of the ceiling. If positioned right, you should barely fly 
over the floor, and hit your head on the pillar, unharmed, stopping you. Now 
slide down the pole and grab the star. (*10)
Star 4: Jump on platform, go right, grab red coin, go up stairs, get past 
second Thwomp then turn around, when he slams into the ground, jump on him, 
then grab the red coin. Then kill the flower and grab the third red coin. Get 
red coin on narrow ledge, run across blocks, then get on rotating platform, 
stand on edge when it is on other side to get another, then fall down, and on 
your way grab your sixth red coin. Go to start and climb tree, then jump down. 
Go with owl to floating islands, then grab the last two red coins. Then work 
your way down and grab the star. (*15)
Star 5: Climb tree, then fly with owl until you have a good angle of dropping 
into the floating cage with a star in it. (*16)
Star 6: Jump on platform, go left, go in cannon, aim for right edge near 
rotating platform, shoot at it, it should break, revealing a star. Backflip 
onto the ramp and go up. Destroy the flower, then cross over the gray blocks 
and ramp, then grab the star to the left. (*17)


-Wing Cap Bonus Level: Get 10 stars, then when it's shining, look up into the 
sun. (Once you access it the first time and leave, it won't be shining, but 
you can still access it the same way)

To get the wing cap, just fly down and hit the switch. To get the star, 
restart the level, then get the 8 coins as you descend, then grab the star.

-Cool, Cool Mountain: Go in the door left of the bookcase with a star and a 3 
on it.

Star 1: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star(*18) Go down the 
chimney. Go down the slide until you see coins going into the wall. Go in the 
wall. Fall down, then go outside and grab the star. (*19)
Star 2: Climb up onto the mountain, grab the penguin. Make your way down to 
the mother penguin. (Where you got the first star) Give the baby to her, then 
grab the star. (*20)
Star 3: Jump down the chimney, just beat the penguin in the race. Grab the 
star. (*21)
Star 4: Climb the tree and grab the first red coin. Slide down to the left, 
then grab your second red coin in the corner. Cross the bridge, then grab the 
third red coin on the broken bridge, then fall down. Go down, then grab the 
fourth red coin in the tree. Then go right, and grab the fifth red coin in the 
corner on the edge, then go to the broken bridge and grab your sixth coin, 
then stand on the edge and you should teleport back to the beginning. Fall off 
the bridge, then grab the red coin. Then fall off to the left, then go on the 
lower part, go on the little platform and grab the last red coin. Then go 
across the snowmen bridge, and do a running long jump to the other side right 
before you fall. Grab the star. (*22)
Star 5: Go up the mountain, then talk to the snowman head. You must beat him 
down the hill, then go behind the snowman, then grab the star he gives you. 
(*23)
Star 6: Fall off the broken bridge, then fall off to the right. Go down the 
ramp, then go on the machine to the left. Halfway, jump on the platform with 
the Bomb-omb buddy, then talk to him to prepare the cannon. Jump back on the 
machine, then go in the cannon. Aim so the middle of the cross-hairs is in the 
center of the dark area of the mountain, right above the tree. Go across the 
narrow ledge, then long jump over the gap. Then wall-jump up to the first 
platform, then go to the edge of the second, face with your back to the wall, 
run, then quickly turn back, and before you go running back, jump to do a Side 
Somersault, then right before you hit the wall, hit A to do a wall-jump. Then 
go across the narrow walkway, then grab the star. (*24)


-Jolly Roger Bay: Go in the door to the right that has a star with the number 
3. When you get inside, look up, and you should see two holes. Backflip into 
the one right of the door. Then, grab all the eight red coins, and grab the 
star. (*25)

Star 1: Jump in the water, then swim to the sunken ship. Run into the eel, 
then surface, then go back down. The eel should be gone. Go inside and open 
the chests in the right order. Jump up to the yellow box, open it, then grab 
the star. (*26)
Star 2: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star) (*27) Jump on the 
plank, then jump up and talk to the Bomb-omb buddy to prepare the cannon, then 
swim to the eel, and lure him out, then touch the star when he swims about, 
then collect it. (*28)
Star 3: Jump in, and swim to the cave, then open the chests in the right 
order. Grab the star. (*29)
Star 4: Jump in the water, Swim down, the shell on the left has a coin. Then 
go forward, that shell has one too. Swim up and to the right a little, that 
has a red coin also. Jump on the plank and to the right, and grab the fourth 
red coin on the pole, jump back and to the other side, then step on the switch 
and quickly make your way onto the boat. Grab the coin, jump onto the upper 
deck, and grab the two coins, then jump overboard and make your way down to 
the last shell and last red coin. Then make your way back to the ship and grab 
the star. (*30)
Star 5: Jump in the cannon and aim so the middle of the cross-hairs is about 
where the sharp point on the right side of the mountain rises up from. Jump to 
the platform, hit the box, then grab the star. (*31)

NOTE: You will not be able to get star 6 until you get the metal cap!

Star 6: Grab the metal cap in the box near the switch. Jump into the water and 
run to the star in the jet stream, and grab it. (*58)


-Big Boo's Haunt: Go outside either of the two wooden doors by the stairs, 
follow the Big Boo outside, attack him from behind, then go into the carousel-
shaped thing.

Star 1: Go inside, go in all the doors and kill all the ghosts to make the Big 
Boo appear, destroy the Big Boo and the stairs will rise. Grab the star. (*32)
Star 2: Go inside the hut to the left and take the elevator down. Keep going 
until you hear carousel music, and go in the door. Kill all the ghosts to win 
a star. (*33)
Star 3: Go inside, go up the stairs, and go in the second door from the gray 
star. Go until you reach a dead end, hit the books in the correct order, go 
through the door, then grab the star. (*34)
Star 4: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star.) (*35) Go inside, 
go in the first door to the left. Lure the piano out so you can grab the red 
coin. Go in the door across from the piano. Grab the two coins there, then go 
outside the other door. Go in the last door on the right, grab the coin, then 
exit from the door you came in. Climb up the stairs, then enter the first door 
to the left from the stairs. Grab the coin, then leave. Then enter the first 
door to the right of the stairs, and grab the two coins from under the 
coffins. Then enter the last door and grab the last coin. Exit, then grab the 
star. (*36)
Star 5: Go inside and upstairs, then enter the last room on the right.  Jump 
on the small platform, then go against the wall with your back to it, run and 
do a side somersault backwards, then wall-jump back towards the door on the 
upper floor. Go through, then go through the set of double-doors to the right, 
defeat Big Boo, then long jump onto the flat part of the roof, long jump onto 
the upper part of the roof, then carefully walk your way to the middle, then 
drop down and grab the star. (*37)

NOTE: You can't get star 6 until you get the invisible cap.

Star 6: Go inside, go upstairs and into the last door on the right. Go through 
the door next to the trap door. Grab the cap, go back through the door, jump 
on the small platform, go against the wall with your back to it, run and do a 
side somersault back to the wall, then wall-jump off the wall to the door on 
the upper floor. Run through the ghost picture, wait until the invisible cap 
wears off, then make the eye spin around until it gets dizzy and disappears. 
Grab the star he gives you. (*41) 


-Bowser In the Dark World: Go in the door with the big star to the left 
upstairs. Just keep going forward until you get to the pipe, then jump in. To 
beat Bowser, grab him by the tail and swing him fast enough, then throw him 
into a mine. Grab the key. To get the star, Hit the switch, run back to the 
beginning and grab the coin, the switch should deactivate about now. Hit the 
switch again and grab the coin across from the switch. Keep going until you 
get to the silver electric balls, near the second crystal grab the third red 
coin, then go on until you get on the platform with the yellow box. Right next 
to the edge of the side to the right is a red coin, grab it and the one near 
the moving platforms. Go left, behind the needle is another red coin. Go back 
right, past the see-saws. Then when you drop down, go on the last narrow ledge 
next to the see-saws, there should be the seventh red coin. Jump onto the 
platform with the switch, turn around and long jump onto the ceilings until 
you get to the one with the last red coin. Now go on, grab the star, (*38) 
then jump down and defeat Bowser.


-Basement: Go into the basement and use the key, look for a yellow rabbit, if 
you can catch him, he gives you a star. (*39) Also, look for a regular wooden 
door, go through it, swim through, then pound the pillars and go outside to 
the invisible cap bonus level.


-Invisible Cap Bonus Level: Go outside once the water is drained, then look 
for a open hole in the ground and fall in. To get the cap, simply make your 
way through the course and hit the switch. To get the star, grab all the coins 
on the way down from the ramp, on the see-saws and moving platforms. The last 
red coin right outside the netting. To get the star, use the invisible cap to 
go through the net. (*40)


-Lethal Lava Land: Go into the basement and jump into the picture of fire.
Star 1: Keep going until you get to the big platform with the Big Bully on it 
across the board. Push him into the lava, then jump up to the star. (*42)
Star 2: Go to the platform with three bullies, knock them into the lava, then 
do the same with the Big Bully who appears. Grab the star after he takes a 
bath. (*43)
Star 3: Go over to the puzzle and grab all 8 coins. Collect the star. (*44)
Star 4: Go over to the log and roll it across and grab the star. (*45) Or, use 
the wing cap to get there. (Go down in the pit below the eye after the 
bridge.)
Star 5: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star) (*46) Jump into 
the volcano, and carefully make your way up to the star. Grab the star. (*47)
Star 6: Jump into the volcano and make your way up to the star. Grab the star. 
(*48)

-Hazy Maze Cave: Go into the door with a star on it. Go in, talk to Toad, he 
will give you a star. (*49) Jump into the pool.
Star 1: Go left and jump over the pit. Go through the door, then keep on the 
walkway until it ends, jump onto the place the boulders are falling. Work your 
way up and go through the door. Go down, and jump onto the monster. Guide her 
to the island, jump off and grab the star. (*50) Also, on a separate trip, 
guide her to the island with a walkway around it and double-doors. Long jump 
from the monster to the walkway, then go through the double-doors and jump 
into the pool to get to the Metal Cap Switch Course.
Star 2: Go right, slide down the pole and jump up the stairs to the elevator. 
Get the four red coins and then fall off, go back to the elevator, and then go 
all the way left and forward, then make a long jump to the pole. Then climb 
up, get on the elevator, and get the other coins. Fall down and grab the star 
(*51)
Star 3: Go left and jump over the pit, then go through. Go until you cant go 
any further, then go on the place where rocks are falling. Run up, and go 
through the door. Go down, grab the metal cap, and run to the switch in front 
of the caged-off area. Then jump over the gaps to eventually grab the star. 
(*52)
Star 4: Go right, go through the door, slide down, go left through the door, 
and drop down the hole. Keep going until you find two pits. Side somersault to 
the door ABOVE the pit. (Not to the side!) Keep going until you get to the 
elevator, go up, and then grab the star. (*53)
Star 5: Go right, go through the door, slide down, go left through the door, 
and drop down the hole. Keep going until you find two pits. Side somersault to 
the door TO THE SIDE of the pits. (Not above!) Go up the elevator, go through 
the door, then hang onto the cage above, and keep going until you get to the 
star. (*54)
Star 6: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star.) (*55) Go left 
and long jump over the pit. Then go until you cannot go further on the 
walkway. Jump onto the place where rocks are falling. Go up, go to the door, 
not through it. Side somersault to the left side, wall-jump to the right, onto 
the platform where the star is. Grab the star. (*56)


-Metal Cap Switch Course: (See Hazy Maze Cave, Star 1 to see how to get here.) 
To get the switch, just keep jumping to the islands until you get to it. To 
get the star, get all 8 red coins in the water, behind pillars, etc. then grab 
the star. (*57)


-Basement: Go outside, the rabbit will be back, catch him again for another 
star. (*59)


-Shifting Sand Land: Jump into the dead end wall left of Lethal Lava Land.
Star 1: Go talk to the Bomb-omb buddy on the far side of the desert to prepare 
the cannon. Then get the wing cap and touch the star that the vulture is 
holding. Go back to the far side of the desert to get the star. (*60)
Star 2: Grab the wing cap, jump into the cannon, and fly into the star. (*61)
Star 3: Go inside the pyramid, then make your way up to the star. (*62)
Star 4: Get the wing cap, and fly to each of the four pillars. When you land, 
pound the middle. Do all 4 and the pyramid top should blow up, then fly 
inside. Jump into the hole in the red thing when the cage stops. To beat the 
boss, attack his eye when it opens. Do this until both hands are destroyed, 
then grab the star he gives you. (*63)
Star 5: Turn around, and grab the red coin behind you. Then break the big box 
under the roof to get the next coin. Grab the third coin by the boxes with 
faces, then the fourth one is in the small pool of water. Then grab the wing 
cap and shoot from the cannon into the air. The rest of the coins are in the 
air. Fly to the roof, then grab the star. (*64)
Star 6: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star.) (*65) Go inside 
and up until you get near the star, but don't grab it! If you look down, you 
will see small ledges. Collect the all the coins on them, then drop down and 
collect the last two in the quicksand. Jump up and grab the star. (*66)


-Dire, Dire, Docks: Open the door with the big star at the entrance to the 
basement, and jump into the portal.
Star 1: Swim through the hole, jump onto the walkway, hit the switch, jump 
onto the blocks next to it onto the sub, then grab the star. (*67)
Star 2: Swim down, and open the chests in the right order, then grab the star. 
(*68)

NOTE: The poles you need to get Star 3 won't appear until you defeat Bowser.

Star 3: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star.) (*73) Swim 
through the hole, jump onto the walkway and hit the switch, jump up the far 
blocks, then grab all 8 red coins, they're all up there. Grab the star. (*74)
Star 4: Swim through the hole, then swim through 5 rings in a row, above the 
jetstream. Then surface, grab the metal cap, then grab the star. (*69)
Star 5: Swim to the Manta, swim through 5 of the rings in a row that he makes 
from his tail. Then grab the star. (*70)
Star 6: Swim through the hole, grab the invisible cap, then grab the star in 
the caged in area underwater. (*71)


-Bowser in the Fire Sea: Get a star in Dire, Dire Docks, then jump down the 
hole. To get the star, go until you see a way going up, then grab the first 
red coin. Then go on until you get to the see-saws, and grab the coin, then go 
up the pole. In the corner is another red coin, then quickly run on, then off 
the elevator. It will go up, then grab the fourth red coin and go up the 
elevator. Go up the ramp and up again, to grab the fifth red coin. Keep going 
until you see platforms that rise and descend, look for a shadow on the ground 
on the second platform, it's the sixth red coin. Go on until you get to a 
large area with lava platforms and two fire machines, in front of the second 
machine is the next red coin. Then the last red coin is near the second pole. 
Jump onto the platforms to get it. (*72) Jump down the pipe to meet Bowser 
again. To beat him, whenever he jumps into the air, run to the opposite side 
and hold that direction, and jump right before he lands. Then grab him and 
throw him into a mine. If he charges you, backflip or side somersault over 
him, then grab him by the tail. After you defeat him, grab the key.


-Inside Castle: Go into the lobby and use the key on the door upstairs. Go up, 
then talk to Toad in front of Tall, Tall Mountain. He will give you a star.

-Wet Dry World: Go upstairs and jump into the painting of a spider-like 
creature.
Star 1: Jump into the painting as high as possible, then hit the switch on the 
white, tall platform with some coins. Now swim to the floating wood, then jump 
onto the platform and walk onto the arrows until you come to the yellow box. 
Grab the star inside. (*76)
Star 2: Jump into the painting as high as possible, then go right and up the 
ramp, go on, then hop onto the ramp by the purple Bomberman-like creature. 
Jump onto the platform, then the next, then grab the star in the box. (*77)
Star 3: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star.) Jump in as high 
as possible, hit the yellow box barely above the water to get one, then drain 
all the water, keep to the left side until you see a yellow box and a block to 
push. Push it left, under the box, then hit the box to get 2 and 3. Jump up 
onto the platform, and push the box in to get 4. Launch yourself up with the 
machines, the hit the switch, jump up the blocks, and hit the yellow box to 
get 5. Grab the star. (*79)
Star 4: Jump into the painting as low as possible, then break the box near the 
caged area. Go up by the machines launching you, then hit the switch, jump up, 
land on the left side of the walkway. Then jump down, go inside, and jump on 
the inside part to ride up to the star. (*80)
Star 5: Jump into the painting as high as possible, then jump into the high, 
caged-off area, swim until you get to Atlantis, (Sure looks like it could be.) 
and right below the entrance is a switch, hit it. The first red coin is left 
of the entrance, right next to a red-roofed building. The second and third are 
in boxes on top of the wall. The fourth is on the stairs going up to a town 
hall-like building, and the fifth is on it's roof. The next is on top of 
another building, by another caged in area. The last two are on two buildings, 
connected to each other by a small garden of grass. Then grab the star. (*81)
Star 6: Jump into the painting as high as possible. Jump into the high caged 
in area, and swim until you enter the town, hit the switch directly below the 
entrance, Look for an invisible cap, then grab it, run through the more 
brownish walls, then run through the cage and wait for the cap to wear off. 
Wall-jump from the cage onto the platform, jump up and grab the star. (*82)


-Tall, Tall Mountain: Jump into the picture of a mountain and some mushrooms.
Star 1: Just keep going up the mountain, and you'll eventually grab the star.

Star 2: Go up the mountain, catch the monkey, then let him go, go over to him 
when he stops, then he will jump on the cage, making it fall. Grab the star. 
(*84)
Star 3: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star.) (*85) Jump on 
the mushrooms, grab the four coins, then grab the rest on the rocky side of 
the hill with platforms and gophers. Grab the star. (*86)
Star 4: Go up the hill until you get past the wind cloud. Look for a wall 
that's wavy. Jump into and slide down the slide, go down the hole at the end, 
and grab the star. (*87)
Star 5: Go up the mountain until you get to the switch, hit it, and run to the 
bridge, jump off from the bridge to the block the switch made, and grab the 
star. (*88)
Star 6: Talk to the Bomb-omb buddy to prepare the cannon. (Next to and under 
bridge after purple Bomberman-like thing.) Then long jump onto the mushroom 
that you got star 3 on, and then long jump to the platform below, and go into 
the cannon. Aim so that the bottom of the round part of the mushroom is on the 
edge of the black edge around the screen on the bottom. You should fly into 
the star. (*89)


-Tiny, Huge Island: Go into the door with a star on it. If you jump into the 
small picture, the island will be small, if you jump into the large picture, 
everything will be huge.
Star 1: Jump into the small picture. Go left and jump into the pipe, then 
defeat all the piranha flowers, then grab the star. (*90)
Star 2: Go into the big picture. Go forward and then to the top of the island. 
Then hit the yellow box, then grab the star. (*91)
Star 3: Find Koopa the Quick, then race him back to the flag you saw earlier. 
No tricks here, just run as fast as you can! Grab the star he gives you when 
you win. (*92)
Star 4: Go into the large picture. Go forward, and go into the pipe where the 
race flag was.  Talk to the Bomb-omb buddy, then go on top of the cannon to 
get 1, then go by the now small entrance to get 2, then go in front of the 
hole on the super-narrow walkway to get 3, then go by the little hole near the 
pipe to get 4, then for 5, go to the top of the mountain. Then hit the switch, 
and go over and grab the star. (*93)
Star 5: Go into the large picture, go forward, and use the turtle's shell or 
the cannon to get up the hill, then go in the hole by the narrow walkway. Grab 
all 8 red coins, then grab the star. (*94)
Star 6: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star.) (*95) Go into 
the big picture, then make your way up the hill, but jump into the pipe just 
before the top to make everything small, then go up to the top, and pound in 
the middle. Jump back into the pipe, and jump into the hole. Jump on his head 
three times, then grab the star he gives you. (*96)


-Snowman's Land: Go into the other door, and look in the mirror for the 
picture Cool, Cool Mountain had, then jump into that wall.
Star 1: Make your way to the top of the snowman, and grab the star. (*97)
Star 2: Go to the bully and push him into the water, then grab the star. (*98)
Star 3: Get on top of the ice block, and drop down the hole to the star. (*99)
Star 4: Go to the freezing pond, jump onto the weird creature, then float 
forward, and hit the box on the right and grab the star. (*100)
Star 5: Float of to the yellow boxes, and open the right one, and hop on the 
shell, then `shellboard' to all 8 coins, and grab the star. (*101)
Star 6: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star.) (*102) Go inside 
the igloo, then talk to the Bomb-omb buddy, grab the invisible cap, and grab 
the star in front of the entrance in an icy prison. (*103)


-Third Floor: Go upstairs again, open the big door, then go talk to Toad. Grab 
the star he gives you. (*104)


-Wing Mario Over the Rainbow: Jump up to the platform, and drop down the hole 
the other side of Rainbow Ride. Fly and grab all 8 coins, then grab the star.

-Tick, Tock Clock: Jump into the giant clock. The hands position when you jump 
in will affect the speed of the clock.
Star 1: Go up until you get to the cage, jump inside and grab the star. (*106)
Star 2: Go up until you climb up the pole near an electric ball, then go left, 
jump onto the other side, then carefully make your way to the star. (*107)
Star 3: Go up until you get to the clock hand, jump on it, and ride it to the 
star. (*108)
Star 4: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star.) (*109) Go to the 
top, then jump on the hand and ride to the conveyor belt, then jump on the 
Thwomp's head, and grab the star. (*110)
Star 5: Go to the heart, jump onto the platform, then the next two, and then 
to the top of the cage. Jump onto the bars, then into the cage, and grab the 
star. (*111)
Star 6: Jump into the clock when the second hand gets to 12. Grab all 8 coins 
on the see-saw like things, then grab the star. (*112)


-Rainbow Ride: Jump onto the platform and into the hole to the right of the 
entrance.
Star 1: Keep riding on the carpets until you get to an intersection. Take the 
left carpet, and stay on until you get onto the ship, then grab the star.

Star 2: Keep riding on the carpets until you get to an intersection. Take the 
right carpet, and stay on until you get to the roof of the house, where the 
star awaits. (*114)
Star 3: Go until you get to the platform with the heart, then talk to the 
Bomb-omb buddy, and grab all 8 red coins, then grab the star. (*115)
Star 4: Turn around, and keep going until there is a split, go up the ramp, 
across the gap, and grab the star. (*116)
Star 5: Turn around, and keep going until there is a split, go forward, hit 
the switch, and jump up the triangles to the star.
Star 6: (This would be a good time to get the 100 coin star.) (*117) Keep 
riding on the carpets until you get to an intersection. Take the left carpet, 
and stay on until you get onto the ship, then hop into the cannon, and aim so 
the middle of the cross-hairs is in the middle of the rainbow, right above the 
pole. You should fly into the pole, jump down, break the box, and grab the 
star. (*119)


-Bowser in the Sky: Go up the stairs, up another staircase, then jump down the 
hole. To get the star, push the box back to the edge, and jump of and grab the 
first red coin. The second coin is right after the platform with the 1-up box 
and the electric ball. The third is on a small platform off one side. The 
fourth red coin is by a bunch of coins after a big ramp and a fire machine. 
The fifth red coin is on a platform right after the heart and moving platform. 
The sixth red coin is behind the needle that the fire sphere is on. The 
seventh is on a pole, and the very last red coin is under the bridge right 
before the pipe to Bowser. Grab it, and then grab the very last star in the 
game! (*120!) Then jump down the pipe. To beat Bowser, when he shoots fire 
into the air, and when he stomps the ground, jump over the sonic beams, and 
when he charges you, jump over him, then grab his tail and throw him into the 
mines twice. Then he has a fit, and breaks off the edges to make a star. Throw 
him into a mine again, then grab the giant star, and watch the ending.

Congratulations! You have beaten Super Mario 64, and found all the stars!

4.                               SECRETS
-During the ending, use the analog stick on controller 2 to change the camera 
angle.
-If you get all 120 stars, when you beat Bowser he says something different.
-When you get all 120 stars, go race the penguin again, except this time he 
will be extremely fat and harder to beat!
-If you see a wooden post, run about 3 or 4 complete circles around it, and 5 
coins will pop out.
-Sometimes, you see a small group of butterflies. If you touch the right one, 
a 1-up will appear, if you touch the wrong one, a bomb will appear, tracking 
you down.
-In Wet, Dry World, you can change the height of the water when you start. If 
you jump in low, there will be little water, if you jump into the middle, it 
will be halfway, and if you jump into the top, it will be higher than you 
could usually make it with the switches!
-In Tiny, Huge Island, if you pound the big goombas, they give you a blue 
coin.
-If you own the Japanese version, when you get to a Bowser level, collect 
1,000 coins, then you should have an `M' next to your lives. Then, every time 
you die, you gain a life, and every time you get a 1-up, you lose one.
-Go into Shifting Sand Land or Snowman's Land, and lose you hat and make sure 
it's on the ground, then go to a warp, and warp back and forth at least twice. 
Then go back and pick up the hat. Mario will put it on, but more hats will 
still be there, (Depending on how many times you warped back and forth.) then 
pick up a hat now, and he will hold onto it, and when you punch it looks like 
he is whacking the enemies with the hat!
-To get a refill of your life, jump into water and surface again.
-Once you get 120 stars, go into the cannon that has been closed for the 
entire game, blast to the roof, and there will be 3 1-ups, a wing cap box for 
enjoyment, and Yoshi! When you talk to Yoshi, he will give you 100 lives!

5.                                   WARPS
To use a warp, stand still in them. To re-use them, just jump. Warp 1a will 
take you to warp 1b, 1b will take you to 1a, etc.

-Bomb-omb Battlefield:
1a: Go up the ramp, then go into the center of the flower bed.
1b: Cross the bridge that tilts, then keep to the left, and go into the center 
of the flower bed near the red box.

2a/2b: Go up the mountain, there will be two holes in the side of the 
mountain. Go inside them, and you will warp to the other hole.


-Jolly Roger Bay:
None Found.


-Whomp's Fortress:
1a: In the corner near the only green box near the Thwomps.
1b: In the corner of the platform with the flagpole.


-Cool, Cool Mountain:
1a: When you start the level, go right to the broken bridge, the warp is on 
the edge of the bridge.
2a: From the bottom of the level, go right from the pool with the penguin, the 
warp is on the edge of the broken bridge under the mountain.


-Big Boo's Haunt:
None Found.


-Hazy Maze Cave:
None Found.


-Shifting Sand Land
1a: There is a palm tree next to the pool of water. Stand in it's shadow for 
the warp.
1b: In the corner with the platform with the cannon.

2a: Inside the corner, in the corner of the second floor, there are some 
goombas around a pole that go up to the third floor, climb the pole, the warp 
is in the corner to your right. This takes you above the grating on the second 
floor, where you can get a 1-up. This is a one-way warp.


-Dire, Dire Docks:
None Found.


-Snowman's Land:
1a: in the shadow of the tree in the corner of the entire level.
1b: In the shadow of the tree just before the island with the moving 
platforms.


-Tall, Tall Mountain:
1a: In the pit with the mushroom platforms with the red coins, go on the small 
mushroom with no coin, closest to the middle. You will appear next to the pipe 
near the switch. This is a one-way warp.


-Tick Tock Clock:
None Found.


-Rainbow Ride:
1a: Outside on the edge of the platform leading into the house up to the roof, 
across from the fireplace.
1b: In the center on top of the rectangular building with the red coins and 
the Bomb-omb Buddy.
