My gamecube controller c-stick doesn't work properly in this game. can anyone help?

  1. i Downloaded the game from the WII store a few days back but i have a problem with my controller the c-stick rarely does what i tell it to do(usually it opens the party menu nomatter what direction i point it in). and always takes forever to get my selected party member to do what it is supposed to do.
well i have a third party controller but i know that is not the reason since a friend borrowed me a original one and the same happens with that one :(.
please help i'm tired of having to wait forever untill Bombette does her exploding attack, Parakarry to lift me etc. etc.(and due to this problem it is literally impossible to use items outside of battle :(

  1. Don't push any buttons or tilt any control sticks while booting up the game.
Tilting the sticks while booting up will mess up the calibration on them and set a new dead-zone, which might be the problem.

If it's not that, then something is definitely broken.

  1. It might be a technical problem, it might not have downloaded correctly. You can redownload it for free at the wii shop channel. If you earase the games channel and redownload it, it still keeps your saved data, so don't worry, your save file will still be there, just earase only the channel then redownload. If you still have this problem after redownloading, call or E-mail nintendo costemer sevice from www.nintendo.com.

  2. Then there might be a problem with the controllers port, it might be broken of worn down. It don't cost that much to repair If thats the problem. If you have any other games you can use the gamecube controller on, try it on them and see if you have the same issue.

  3. Then the Wii is just having problems prossesing Nintendo 64 games, the only way to fix it is to send it to nintendo and get it repaired.

  4. Is the C-stick just acting strange? Hold down X, Y, and the start button at the same time for 5 seconds.

  5. There is also a special controller that you can use as an attachment; it is not a GameCube controller fyi.

  6. I have had similar problems that were easily fixed turning off and on the console, swapping out controllers (obviously, only doable if you have more than one controller) or just letting the game sit for a few days. if these fail, try the gamecube controller on your gamecube, and other virtual console games to see if its the controller, game or system
