Super Smash Bros.
Review by JAndonuts
"Oh my goodness a game!"
I never knew a cartridge could go so well with my Nintendo 64. It's just like peanut butter and
jelly, spaghetti and meatballs, tuna fish and cheese (well, kind of). Even better.
Game Control (9/10)
For the newbies who play this game, it may take a few days to learn all of the moves and
such. But once you know them, you have nothing to worry about. As a matter of fact, the
basic object of practicing is to improve on how to use your moves as you learn them.
Graphics (10/10)
Very detailed, crisp, clear, fresh, smooth...what more do I have to say? All of the moves are unique, too. For example, Kirby’s Final Cutter and Ness’s PK Fire have great effects to
them. Also Falcon punch looks like a real punch (and falcon).
Sound (10/10)
No need for an overload of variety because the sound and music made the game really
feel alive. It was like you were there. They had the themes for each place you fight, and
most moves made their own sound (except for kicking, punching, sliding, jumping, etc.).
Very impressive.
Replay Value (10 (*cough*ten million*cough*)/10)
I have played this game almost every day with my brother, recording over 1,000 hours!
For the years I have had this game, I have never gotten bored with it. It is the most
consistent fun I have ever had. No matter what mood of a game you are in to play, Super
Smash Bros. fits all of them.
Buy or rent?
If you don't buy this game you will be missing out big. Please, try this game out if you
haven’t already. Even if you want to rent it to try it out (which is a waste of money
because you should buy the game and return it if you don’t like it).
Overall
This game’s genre should not only be fighting, but strategy too. It may sound weird but
you have to think about what you are doing. You don’t just press any buttons to kill the
nearest opponent but think of what to do to him. You always need a plan in this game or you have nothing to beat your enemy with. But remember, everyone’s technique is different.
I didn’t make this review just for the sake of it, but to get people to buy Super Smash
Bros. who don’t have it. SSB is one of the best game out there right now. Maybe
the best. It doesn't have any bad reviews yet for nothing. With no flaw to it, it rocks my socks!
