III. WEAPONS
-Tek bow-
Ammo: Energy.
Primary fire: Energy arrow.
Secondary fire: Sniper scope.
Personal thoughts: This is just like the plasma rifle, but in sniper view, the
tek bow will usually kill in 2 or 3 shots.
-Mag 60-
Ammo: Bullet/Energy.
Primary fire: Three shots.
Secondary fire: Laser sight (locks on to enemies a short distance away).
Personal Thoughts: The laser sighting is good because it can kill in 1 or 2
shots, but it has a real short range.
-Assault rifle-
Ammo: Bullet.
Primary fire: Single shot.
Secondary fire: Auto assualt (rapid fire).
Personal thoughts: I belive that the single shot is more powerful then the rapid
fire, but at close range with the auto fire, you can tear people up!.
-Shotgun-
Ammo: Bullet.
Primary fire: Double barreled shot.
Secondary fire: Street sweeper (four shots fired rapidly).
Personal thoughts: The street sweeper will kill if most of the shot hits him.
It is great for making crowded rooms not so crowded.
-Minigun-
Ammo: Bullet/Energy (energy used for shield).
Primary fire: Rapid fire.
Secondary fire: Shield (press for temporary shield, hold for continuous sheild,
but you can't move).
Personal thoughts: With the shield up, you litteraly becoume a turret. You have
protection while you can dish out the pain with the minigun
-Plasma rifle-
Ammo: Energy.
Primary fire: Energy shot.
Secondary fire: Sniper scope.
Personal thoughts: With the sniper scope up, you fire in rapid fire. Be
carefull, you'll run out of ammo before you realize it. It's good, but you need
good aim and a lot of ammo.
-Grenade launcher-
Ammo: Explosive rounds.
Primary fire: Bounce grenade.
Secondary fire: non-bounce grenade.
Personal thoughts: I personaly prefere the non-bounce grenade more then the
scorpion missle launcher because I think they do the same damage and the grenade
launcher lets you see more of the screen.
-Scorpion missle launcher-
Ammo: Explosive/Energy.
Primary fire: Missle.
Secondary fire: Rocket magnet/repulsor.
Personal thoughts: Powerful. I haven't found a use for the repulsar mark. It
cuases it to
curve, but since the levels have square corners, it usually hits
the walls.
-Napalm gel-
Ammo: Explosive.
Primary fire: Napalm canister (up to three), (will stick to walls, cielings,
people, etc.)
Secondary fire: Detonate canisters
Personal thoughts: Useful for setting up traps to ambush and weaken an opponent.
-Warhammer-
Ammo: none.
Primary fire: Swing.
Secondary fire: Charge (makes next swing more powerful).
Personal thoughts: What can I say about a weapon that has no distance? This
weapon sucks.
-Boomerang-
Ammo: None/energy.
Primary fire: Throw (will follow for a short distance).
Secondary fire: Throw and slow (when hit, enemy will be slowed).
Personal thoughts: The throw and slow is useful, but by the time you get the
boomerang back and switch to a weapon that can do some real damage, the enemy is
already back to normal speed.
-Emaciator-
Ammo: Energy
Primary fire: Wither shot (causes enemy to thin).
Secondary fire: Charged whither (will kill with one shot. If it hits a wall
instead, will shoot out wisps of energy that harm people).
Personal thoughts: The rapid fire is not very useful because it does little
damage and makes the target thinner, making them harder to hit. The
charged is useful in a crowded room because if you don't hit
someone, the blast will usually deal moderate damage to
everyone close by.
-Inflator-
Ammo: Energy.
Primary fire: Oxygen dart (will cause enemy to inflate. After so many shots
will cause enemy to
"pop".
Secondary fire: Chraged oxygen dart.
Personal thoughts: The cheapest gun in the game. If you want to rack up kills
in multiplayer, this is the gun of choice.
-Chest burster- (must be unlocked first in 1 Player Trial mode)
Ammo: Energy
Primary fire: Talon shot.
Secondary fire: Embryo shot (if enemy is hit, they are injected with an embryo.
After short period of time, if you are not killed and they do not find a power
core, the thing from "Aliens" will burst out of thier chest.)
Personal thoughts: I really like this gun, if only for the humor of watching the
alien burst out of the person's chest
-Flare gun-
Ammo: Energy.
Primary fire: radioactive flare.
Secondary fire: Radioactive meltdown (more powerful and last longer).
Personal thoughts: A great way to be cheap in Tag. Just shot the flare in the
path of the chicken or monkey, and they will usually die.
-Freeze gun-
Ammo: Energy.
Primary fire: nitrogen shot (will slow enemy down).
Secondary fire: Nitrogen frost (will freeze enemy).
Personal thoughts: The most useless gun in the game. You must shoot them
constantly to keep
them slow, and they can still fire at you while you are doing
this. Does very little damage.
PICK UPS
-PFM mine-
Use: A proximity mine.
-Sentry turret-
Use: A turret that will fire a rapid fire gun at enemies that come to close.
-Cerebral bore-
Use: One shot weapon that will seek out enemy for large amount of damage.
-Monkey retaliation-
Use: Turns all other players into monkeys/chickens, but you will later turn back
into a chicken/monkey. Can only be picked up by the "tagged" person.
POWER CORE POWERS
-Energy vampire-
You gain life equal to the amount of damage that you deal.
--Regeneration-
You regain back life at about 2 per second.
-Bullet shield-
Immune to bullet weapons
.
-Blast shield-
Immune to blasts (I think this means grenades, rockets, etc.).
-Invisability-
You can't be seen.
-Invulnerability-
You can't be hurt (not sure if this includes lava damage).
-Slow time-
Slows everyone but you and teammates.
-Reverse damage-
Damage dealt to you is likewise dealt to enemy.
-Energy absorb-
By michael mackinnon and nathaniel "the great one": Makes you immune to energy
weapons by absorbing the energy and adding to your own health. By michael
mackinnon and nathaniel "the great one
-Massive damage-
You do a whole lot 'o damage.
-Petrify-
When you shot someone, they are frozen.
IV. STRATEGIES
-Stratagies for bosses-
-Bastille-
Try to wear him down when he comes around the corner leading to the 50 health.
-Syra and Warclubs-
Try to kill Syra first, since she is harder to kill then kill Warclubs. If you
don't kill one and then the other fast enough, the one killed will come back to
life.
By Itra Darkblade: I find it easier to kill Warclubs ASAP, and then reduce Syra
(by far the harder of the two) to low health. By this time Warclubs will have
returned, so I kill him a second time and then deal the killing blow to Syra.
-Symbiont-
I found that the inflator or explosive weapons helped me hurt them the most.
-Tal Set-
No real strategies yet. When you see him start to disappear, stop shoting. It
might look like you are hurting him, but you are not.
-Character strategies-
-Mantid mites or Raptor-
If you are the Mantid mites, keep moving. Just because you are small, doesn't
mean people can't hit you. If you stop, they can get an aimed shot at you.
Likewise, to get kill the mites, use an explosive weapon or one that will effect
an area.
For both the Mantid mites and Raptor, look for the power cores. Because you
don't have any other weapons beside the two that you start with, you will need
the bonuses to help you out. If you can get the massive damage, you can rack up
a lot of kills because of how fast you are.
V. CODES/SECRETS
-Cheat menu-
By alucard@uswest.com: To access the cheat menu you either hold one of the top
buttons or the Z button in the first menu (I forgot which button,) at first you
can only see the credits, you have to earn the rest.
-Hidden Characters-
Raptor - Beat 1 Player trial with Turok.
Mantid drone - Beat 1 Player trial with Adon.
Lord of the dead - Beat 1 Player trial with Mantid drone.
Guardian - Beat 1 Player trial with Elite guard.
Juggernaut - Beat 1 Player trial with Guardian.
Oblivian spawn - Beat 1 Player trial with Juggernaut.
Campaigner - Beat 1 Player trial with Raptor.
Fireborn - Beat game with
Mantid mites - Beat game with Campaigner (I think, but I can't remember.
Campaigner unlocks
either the mites or Fireborn).
Mantid Soldier - Beat 1 Player trial with Fireborn.
Tal Set, Syra, Bastille, Symbiont - I am not really sure. I got Basttial first,
then Syra, then Symbiont, then Tal Set after I beat 1
Player trial mode four different times.
-Skins-
I'm not sure how to unlike other skins. I have 2 skins for Turok, Adon, and
Mantid Drone, but I don't know how I got them. If anyone knows, let me know.
To unlock the skins, you must go up in a rank to unlock a skin. You go up in
rank for each 2 medals that you have.
-Weapons-
Chest burster - I unlocked this when I recieved it as an item from Mantid
soldier's 1 Player trial mode.
-Medals-
These are directions to get the different medals.
- Beat Bastille.
- Beat Syra and Warclubs.
- Beat Symbiont.
- Beat Tal Set.
- Attain 25 frags in 10 minutes.
- There is a medal for the Amphitheater, but I don't know how I got it. I was
playing multi with a friend with 1 bot. There was no frag limit and it was set
for 10 minutes. If any one has any information, please let me know.
- by Keven London: Another medal i got is 15 frags in 5 mins and one for killing
youself 5 times, but i don't know how i got it and it disappeared from my medal
window shortly after (odd?).
- by Itra Darkblade: There is a suicide medal- yes it seems stupid but it is
funny. It's text says "Fragged yourself 5 times", and it looks like a circular
wooden shield with an arrow through it. Me, my brother and 2 Bots were in the
Pits level, 10 minutes, 10 frags, and he managed to fall in lots of times, 8 as
he had 3 kills and -11 score. Hehehe. As information, I enterred the level, 1
minute limit, and just walked into the pit 11 times: no medal.
- by Asmellyperson@aol.com: ten medals in the two player maps with my brother
playing the bots on expert
If anyone knows how to get any of the other medals, please e-mail me.
-Modes of play-
Time trial - Get 18 minigame icons.
Frag fest - Get 36 minigame icons.
-Glitches-
From alucard@uswest.com: I played bastille in story mode (I only did this in 2
player co-op mode so i dont know if this is true in single player) when I fought
bastille I got all screwed up, when his shield went down and he went crippled so
did I, and when my friend shot either me or him his power/shield would go down.
I couldnt move or turn but I could still fire. The game froze up twice on me
now, sucks, but don't know why.
From multiple people and me: You cannot complete the two-player trial mode as
thier is a glitch that makes you lose in the tag levels. I have absolutly no
idea why it is, but it obviously makes a whole lot of people mad because I have
recieved a lot of e-mail asking me how to pass this glitch. As of now, I have
no clue how to pass thes levels. I will post it within minutes of when I learn
how.
