Review by Dave 008 Bond
"It isn't perfect, but it is still worth a purchase."
It may not be as good as Warzone, but I still like it. Acclaim hasn't forgotten what we wanted but they added in a few things we didn't want too. The biggest attractions are the expanded Create a Wrestler and the
awesome number of modes. There are also a huge number of wrestlers. The worst thing is by far the control.
It is far less responsive in Warzone and the moves take forever to do! Read on to learn why I think this.
Amazing. The wrestlers are more detailed than you would want, or think. The best part of the wrestler designs is the face, it looks just like the wrestler's faces in real life. If you want good looking wrestlers than look no further! The two things I don't really like is the crowd and animations. The crowd.... is cardboard. They don't ever move once. They just sit there...... staring at you. The animations look buggy and most of the deadly moves look almost painless. But most here is good, just what you want it to be.
It is a wrestling game, it does not have a story.
Another high point. All the wrestlers (old) theme songs are back, and almost sound more realistic than the real thing. It is almost better than buying a CD! The rest of the music in the game is fair, but nothing memorable. The commentary from Warzone is back. I thought the Warzone commentary was funnier, but there still are funny parts. My favorite is when you hit someone with a weapon and then Shane McMahon says,''Ow. Thats not very sportsmen like!'' The rest of the sound effects are fair, but my favorite the echooing noise you make after you hit someone with the micraphone. The wrestlers also talk and insult each other. The sound is another high point of the game but it isn't perfect!
You can choose a huge number of modes, such as an Iron Man match and a 2 on 1 hardcore match! The modes can be quite fun because you can change the rules to make a almost custom match. You can even customize the arena! When you finally get to wrestle, you will be sure to have plenty of fun. You have to draw out your move before you opponent does! You can throw him into the ropes, you can ram him into the turnbuckle, you can toss him out of the ring, you can bash a suitcase,(or ladder, chair, stopsign, post and...) on his head, or you can just sit there and slam! You can also be in a career mode. A career mode is basically a large tournament. You can also do a two player tag team career! But perhaps the best part of Attitude is the Create a Wrestler. It give you more customazation than Warzone, and you can even choose your moves. The only drawback is that you can't preview the moves. Another drawback is that you have to save them to a Memory Card if you want to save. Despite some flaws this is a very fun game!
The biggest flaw. It is harder than it should be to do the simplist moves, and that is not very good. And even worse you have to enter them at a normal pace, while the computer can easily do even the hardest moves.
Replay Value 8/10
The Create a Wrestler is enough to keep you playing. It kept me playing for two months.
Decent challenge. That is really all there is to say.
Buy or Rent?
