"Really good, but it could have been just a little better"
This is the sequal to the original that started the series. Though this one has a better story, graphics, sound ect.; it fails to have great gameplay. Even though this is a step up, it could have done without the stupid stats rising on how much damage you take. Overall its still really good just the changes in this one were not fore the better.
Graphics 6/10- NES material, the only real noticible is the pictures in the menu screen. Other than a few minor details the graphics are basically the same.
Control/Gameplay 8/10- The gameplay isn't all that bad if you think about it, its just so different from the first in a bad way it really turns off FF fans. Depending on how much damage you take in battle and from what is what determines your stat increase after every battle.
Sound 5/10- The music is also basically the same as the first. Outdated 8-Bit cannot satisfy most players hunger for earcandy ecspecially nowdays.
Story 10/10- The story (as always with Final Fantasy) is a real winner. An evil empire has summoned the ultimate evil and a neighboring town takes action when...... well go find out for yourself.
Replay 5/10- As with most old NES RPGs there is nothing to do a second time but sine the game is still really fun you might play it through once more.
Overall 9/10- Great but could be just a little better, this is the only Final fantasy game I've played that doesn't deserve a 10(excluding Mystic Quest and the Legend series.) But still download/buy this if you get the chance, its really good.
