"It's just been revoked!"

Released in the later years of the NES, Lethal Weapon is based on the 1987 movie and is not a famous game at all, this is usually the case with NES games released in the later years. It was made by ocean so is it any good?

Story: 5/10 the story is not much more than the story of the movie but it does not really follow the movie that much, it is just about 2 cops going around fighting the enemy in various stages in a double dragon style.

Graphics: 2/10 yes the graphics in this game are awful considering that this is 1993, while there are games released much earlier with graphics much better, everything just looks so depressing not many colours, it is all green sort of colours and it really flaws the game but it was made by ocean so you can't expect much, a game is not bad just because of it's graphics.

Sound: 6/10 nothing special, there are not many sound effects and I don't think there is any talking but the sound does it's job but it just does not make the game any more exciting. For 1993 you would expect by then the technology at Nintendo would be a lot better but it doesn't sound any better than super Mario brothers and that was made in 1985.

Game play: 3/10 it is really disappointing you would expect something much better for what year it was released. It plays a lot like double dragon, the d-pad controls are identical but the attacks feel stiff and it is very hard to attack someone without getting hurt. The game starts you off with a gun but once all the ammo runs out you will never get it back and you have to kick or punch your way through, (it depends what character you use one can only kick and one can only punch) as your enemies have long range guns, it makes it much harder to get to them without getting hit, once you are low on health you can go to the edge of the screen to switch between characters that is a good feature it is almost like a health power up. There are hardly any power ups in the game, sometimes you will find mini knives on the floor that you can pick up and throw also you have to throw grenades at a helicopter sometimes but other than that there isn't really anything to help you.

Replay value: 6/10 It is very flawed but it is not frustrating so you might want to play it again.

Overall: 5/10 you would really expect something better, but I'm sure they didn't have a lot of money to make this game so they did ok with what they had.
