Review by AceUltraGamer

"Classic, yet generic WWII overhead shooter with incessant beeping. That's it in a nutshell."

-------
Synopsis: An earlier classic overhead plane shooting game, though a bit primitive. You're a plane flying over oceans, islands, etc., shooting down enemy planes, set in World War II.
-------
Graphics: It's NES, so you could draw it on Paint. But for it's time, I am sure it was pretty cool looking. Not too much detail, just planes, islands, etc., so nothing too in depth. But considering, it came out around the same time Super Mario Bros. did, the graphics are weaker than that. So all in all, relatively cheap, but good enough, giving you that classic arcade feel.
--------
Play Control: The controls are simple. You pretty much have to dodge planes and missiles, while trying to shoot down other planes. You shoot, and you dodge, that's pretty much it. With the exception of how the A button makes you dodge enemies if your in a tight spot, which can be used 3 times per “life”. So in conclusion, the controls are very simple, but it's basically an arcade game, so that's all right.
-------
Game Design: Nothing too complex. It's level and level of the same. I know it's an early game, so that's expected, but nevertheless, after 20-30 levels that are very similar, it can get old. A good classic feel, but very repetitive, which can get old fast.
-------
Satisfaction: I liked it. It did get old fast, but it was fun. Just nothing too complex, that's all. So with that, though fun, it was too long. Then again, what else could they do with an early game like that? So it was good for it's time.
-------
Sound: So obviously, it's cheesy NES music, what can you do? However, I wasn't too happy with the consistent high beeping through the game, that never ended, which is the only main criticism. Otherwise, just normal blips and bleeps, just the tone got too high sometimes.
-------
Comments: Again, it's a classic, just too many similar levels, and many times there were crazy amounts of things to dodge on the screen, which gets old after 30+ levels. A fun, yet dinky little game, where once you finally save America in World War II, and win this huge battle, all you get is a congratulations, without the s on the end, so bad grammar to boot! But whatever, a good arcade game nevertheless, just a bit boring after several levels.

Ultimate Rating: 7/10
