Air Fortress
Review by Snake 166
"This game is amazing!"
This game is like nothing you have ever played before. When I first bought it and played it I did not want a shooter. So when I first played it and thought it was a shooter I didn't play it for many months. Then one day I decided to try it again and I was shocked. The first part of the level is a shooter. Yes, you heard me right. If you can get past that part then you go into the actual game. You are this little yellow guy that has a rocket and can fly around and search for the destruction computer. You don't have to go anywhere you don want to. There are 8 fortresses in all and the last one is gigantic. They get bigger each level.
Graphics 8 out of 10- The graphics are actually pretty detailed for a NES game. The little guy has glass on his mask for him to see out and on the shooter part of the level you can tell when you're getting closer to the fortress door because there is blue steel stuff that starts covering more of the background the closer you get. Very nice. Just like on any shooter, there are way too many enemies to describe.
Sound 7 out of 10- The music sounds more like a action RPG than a shooter but that's all right. Inside the fortress it gets gloomy. A very nice touch. When shooting it makes a pew sound that gets on my nerves pretty quick.
Gameplay 9 out of 10- This game is so fun to search through abandoned fortresses. Sometimes it can get a little frustrating when you get lost in the huge fortress but you always find a way out and that makes you want to play again.
Replayability 4 out of 10- Unfortunitely, after you beat this game you won't want to play it much more because of no incenntive. It is the fun the first time through though.
Overall 8 out of 10- Buy or rent? Definitely buy. You won't regret.
