To continue after losing all your lives, just wait until the Game Over message appears, hold Select and press Start. When the title screen appears, release Select and press Start again. If done correctly, you should start back on the level you were in.

Invincibility
Once the title screen appears, press Up, A, Right, B, Down, A, Left, B, Up and Select. If done right a sound will be heard.

Secret Message
After doing the invincibility code, press Select, Up, B, Left, A, Down, B, Right, A and Up and a secret message will appear on the bottom of the screen.
