"I felt like I was in Space!"

OK, When I was 8 years old, maybe 9, I always liked to pretend that I was a space commander while playing this game! This game is so advanced for a NES!

Story

There’s not much story to the game, so lets move on.


Gameplay

There are kind of 2 different play-form's, so I will tell you both.

You’re in Space, in a Spaceship, in 1st person view. And you can control weather you go up, down, Left and Right; you can even control your speed, even go into Hyperspace! But the faster you go, the more energy you waste, and when your energy has all been used up, or if you have too much damage to your ship, you will explode!
There are weapons you can use to kill the enemies, but you have limited ammo. There are planets you can go on, to refuel ammo, repair damage, or give you nothing, yes there are planets that has nobody on it.

After you kill all the enemies, you must destroy their home base. That’s when the 2nd play type comes to be.

When you’re ''In'' a planet, you are on a constant 2-way scrolling screen. And you can go up, and down, faster, and slower. You can shoot weapons from the front and behind. There are power-ups that you can get, and they will change you frontal, or rear weapon, depending on the way of the arrow on the power-up!

After you destroy the planet, you will go to the second level; it's the same as the first, but more things to do. You even get a new weapon to use!

Audio

The music its ok, I kinda like the background music when you enter the base. The sound effect are… meh. It’s not that good. Whenever you shoot, you will hear a blast.

Replayability

Can I play this again, well not right away, its one of those games when you do a few levels, then comeback in a few weeks.

Buy or Rent?

Well since you can’t rent these anymore, buy! But if it were the 80's again, I would say, rent. But if you like space Sims, you must love this! You can most likley find it around, $5.00. And that’s a good deal for this little known treasure!

Overall

It’s a nice game for the NES, so that’s why I give it a 7/10!
