Die Hard
Review by ZZ THE ONE
""Now I got a machine gun, ho ho ho""
Die Hard was a great 80's flick that shortly got a game developed for the NES. Die Hard is about a cop getting trapped in the Nakatomi Building because of a terrorist raid during a Christmas party. The game follows the story perfectly and leaves you wanting more. Well, onto the review!
Gameplay: 10/10
I loved playing this game! The game is so overlooked, that it can not be discovered. The game is very innovative and inventive. The game depends on survival tactics to keep you alive. The building is swarming with over 40 terrorists! You can either take them out one by one, or face them all at the last part of the game. This game does not dip into finding lots of keys and solving complex puzzles, it involves the player to kill or either be killed. That's what so great about the game. The game also has ''foot power'', which is realistic to the movie a whole deal. When you walk over glass, your foot power decreases because you are walking bare foot. A neat little detail that makes the game more realistic. The gameplay is by far the best the NES has seen.
Graphics: 7/10
The graphics are not really that bad. The character detail could have been alot better, but what do you expect out of a NES? Besides this is really the first time a corpse is left after you kill him. The bullets are white dots and the terrorists look like you but where different color outfits. The inside of the building looks great and the glass breaking is cool!
Sound/Music: 8/10
Tunes that you can hum deserves a high score. Music is great in this game, but lack in variety. Only two songs are in the whole game. All the sounds are here, from explosions to gun shots to the elevator noise. Every sound detail is here. Great sound!
Control: 9/10
Great controls make this game playable. It is very easy to dodge bullets and take cover, as well as run and shoot. That's as basic as the controls will be. Overall, great controls makes this game completely playable.
Replay Value: 7/10
You can take many different steps to complete the game. You can fulfill certain things or just completely ignore them. I, myself, have been playing the game through other difficulties. It's that fun! Even after completing the game, you will want to go back to it over and over again! There is only one gripe, the game is way too short and easy.
Buy or Don't Buy
After people read my review, I hope this game won't be overlooked any longer. This is a very rare game to find. If you find it, buy it! You won't be dissapointed with it. BUY IT!!!
