"In my opinion, a great NES flight simulator."

Space Shuttle Project has always been a very underrated game. From its looks to its innovation, everything is in place, yet you hardly hear about it on boards. This game, while not reinnovating all that is Video Games, like Mario did, still proved to be a great game that you could wake up to. I remember, mornings more than 15 years ago, I would wake up, eat a piece of bread, and play Space Shuttle Project at 5 in the morning. See below.

Graphics
The highly detailed drawings are great in Space Shuttle Project, some of the best I've seen on NES. All of the work is high quality, with nothing left out. When you take off, there is smoke, and in space, there are meteors. I have no better than to give this section a good 10/10.

Sound
For an NES game, Space Shuttle Project packed more than your every-day beeps and blips. With Space Shuttle Project came sounds in pitches and forms the NES had never seen. When you hit a wall, it would make a smacking sound. When a meteor hit you, your astronaut would scream. When you completed the game, there were even cheers from the 'citizens'! Again, Space Shuttle Project shined. Taken all into account, I give sound a perfect 10/10!

Gameplay
This, right here, was, in my opinion, the reason the game was so good. It needed no instruction book. Space Shuttle Project was an action packed puzzler! Nothing was complicated, and anything could be accomplished by a 3 year old. If you catch this game with no instruction book, you didn't lose a thing. Gameplay makes the game, and in this case, this is a very, very solid game. For the great Gameplay, I give it a 10/10.

Replay
The Replay could have been made better on this game. The game only takes around 20 hours to beat for any gamer, and there are no special features. You can make your own challenges, or not use passcodes and try to beat it in one sitting, but that will only add another 5 hours to the game, which adds up to a total of 25 hours. For a lacking of extras, I give the Replay a total of 6/10.

Rent or Buy?
I say buy, because now it is almost impossible to find a rental of this, and the buy only costs around $2.

Overall: 9/10. This game is a great game, and I highly suggest buying it. It is probably in my top five favorite NES games of all time, right up there with Mario. It is sad it didn’t gain more popularity.
