"Roller Coaster Tycoon is an awesome theme park management game."

STORY: This game doesn't really have a story line. The basic purpose of this game is to build the coolest theme park around. You will have a variety of different rides in your arsenal to build your park. They vary from shops and stalls to the king of them all, the roller coaster.

GAMEPLAY: 10/10 To make it simple, the gameplay is awesome. Basically, the objective of this game is to create and manage an amusement park. You start out with a few simple rides, like a merry-go-round. But luckily, you have a handy research and development team at your side. They invent the new rides that you can place in your park. But it's not free. You have to pay them to invent these rides. The cool thing about that is, the more you pay them, the faster they develop rides. You can even select what types of rides you want them to invent. You have to balance your parks money to not only build rides, but hire staff for your park. You can hire handy men, which keep your park clean and tidy, Mechanics, which inspect and repair rides, Security guards, which patrol your park, and last but not least, Entertainers, which do just that, entertain.

DIFFICULTY: 6/10 This game is challenging, yet simple. The basic construction of rides is easy, it only takes a few clicks of the mouse. However, the management of these rides isn't so simple. You want to charge an admission price high enough to make a hefty profit, but you don't want to charge so much that no one will ride your rides. Easily, the hardest part of this game is the construction of the mighty roller coasters. There are so many factors that contribute to the success of a roller coaster that it is very difficult to build a successful one. Especially if you are a beginner. But don't worry. The game comes loaded with all sorts of pre-built coasters that are already successful. Like I said above, you have to balance your parks money to hire staff members and build rides. Don't be alarmed at the size of the instruction manual! Your best bet is probably not to read it in the first place. The game comes with a tutorial that will teach you how to play. Then, after you have seen that, consult the manual if you don't understand something.

GRAPHICS: 7/10 Graphics aren't this game's strong point. As a matter of fact, the game would probably be worse if the graphics were any more detailed. You always have an over-head view of the park, so the people look small and un detailed. The rides, on the other hand, look really cool. They are detailed and colorful. You can even change the color of most of the things in the park if you want. You can even read the ride names on the line entrances, which is pretty cool. You can change those too if you want.

REPLAY VALUE: 10/10 This is definitely the best thing in the game! There are 30 different scenarios to complete. This will have you playing for a while. So........... Have fun!
