"Worms never tasted so good"
Worms Armageddon has been rumored to be the last Worms game (although I've seen 'Worms Pinball' on some release lists). The series couldn't have gone out on a better note.
Graphics: 10/10. ''But wait, this game is 2D! Obviously, it sucks!'' I am sick of crybabies who don't like 2D. And Armageddon is the epitome of 2D graphics. Every environment is extremely detailed, animations are fluid, and the worms crawl around in that loveable, cartoony way. There is rarely a framerate hitch, and when there is, it doesn't affect the gameplay at all. Explosions look like they are straight from an episode of Looney Tunes. Overall, the graphics are excellent.
Sound: 9/10. Sweetness. There are plenty of accents for the worm teams, and a lot of phrases to go with them. The voices are crisp and it is easy to tell what is being said (except for some of the accents, which are confusing in real life). The weapons all sound great, too. The music is good, but is in the background most of the time and then gets loud sometimes. That can be slightly annoying.
Replay: 10/10. This is great. There's online multiplayer, nonline multiplayer, and dozens of missions for you to enjoy. It's like taking the normal, amazing fun of this game and multiplying it by ten. Outstanding.
Story: 1/10. No story here, but you'll be having to much fun to care about one.
Gameplay: 10/10. Team 17 somehow found a way to put pure fun into a single CD. The weapons are fun, and most are hilarious the first time you use them (like the sheep launcher or mad cows). The levels are designed with many nooks and crannies, which amplify the strategy aspect. Control is intuitive, and while the wind may tick you off a little in the beginning, you'll soon get the hang or it. If you consider yourself a PC gamer and you don't own this, shame on you.
