Review by Mage

"A fun, Interactive EVIL simulator/stradegy game with urges to world domination."

This Game, created by Bullfrog, is the second in a series of games involving the dark, underworld of creation. You are a "Dungeon Master" and you are attempting to destroy the happy, sunny overworld. At first, you are left with few ways to do this. Imps, goblins, and fireflies will live happily in your low level dungeon, and will hold off the weak hero's in thier first few attacks. However, as time progresses, you will gain access to new rooms, inviting more creatures to infest your dungeon, such as Rogues, Vampires, and the all powerful Dark Angel. At some points you can even call the Horned Reaper to aid your cause. Each mission gets successivly more difficult, leaving little room for expansion, a need for more powerfull minions, and occasionally a seemingly complete lack of options.

Certain aspects of the game, however, are lacking. It requires a high speed Pentuim chip, as well as a very good graphics card, in order to run on it's higher settings. On a MMX PII 300, the game is rather choppy. However, this can be overlooked since the choppiness is hard to notice on the medium or lower settings of the game. The music is amazing, the sounds of the creatures and the dungeon are well details, and the different types of creatures you can find are quite nice. Inculding the ability to capture, torture, and subvert your enemies to your own side. All in all, a fun, interesting game that will diffinately satisfy your need to destroy things.
