Virtua Squad 2
Review by TheBlindXiahou
"Excellent rail-shooter..."
Virtua Squad 2 is one of the best rail-shooter games ever made. A rail-shooter is a first person shooter type of game except you don't move your character, he moves automatically making you responsible for only killing. Virtua Squad 2 is a sequel to Virtua Squad. Both games were released on arcade and for the PC. If you played The House of The Dead then this game has the same playing style.
The story well... there is no story! You are a cop with a male partner and a female partner and there are 3 campaigns all consisting of 3 levels. Once you finish them you have one more level left. Each campaign ends with a boss fight which is rather hard.
The graphics are excellent. This game is not really new but it has excellent graphics. All the buildings, environments, terrorists, etc look excellent. The environment is also very interactive. You can shoot windows, garbage cans, and other stuff and you'll definitely see a reaction. If you shoot a wall you leave bullet holes in them. Also you can blow up cars by shooting the crap out of the wheels. It looks awesome as they blow up. Some things you shoot disappear and give you a different gun or more health. Also shooting the terrorists in different body parts give you also a different reaction. You'll have a lot of fun shooting different things. Just be careful not to shoot innocent bystanders because you will lose one health bar for that. Ouch!
The sound is excellent. There is some voice acting but its mostly a shout or a yell such as ''GO!'' Whenever you shoot something you'll hear a different sound. The more different things you shoot the more different sounds you hear.
The game is not too hard. If you know where and when the terrorists will come out to attack you then you'll have no problem beating the game. Just take out the terrorists as fast as you can. The only problem you should have is with the bosses that are at the end of each campaign. They are not too hard they just take longer too kill.
The replay value is pretty high since it's always fun to play this type of game again. This game is also pretty short making you want to play it again. Also there are some parts where you make decisions on where to go. Replaying the game lets you take a different path meeting different enemies and going to different places.
If you find this game to buy somewhere it'll probably be cheap.
You shouldn't buy it just find it online to download...
