"Get it, if you can find it."

This was a fun little old game. You don't have to be a star trek fan to enjoy this game, though I'm sure it helps.

Voices:
If your someone who manages to find a copy of this game and actually decides to play it, most likely your a star trek fan. As such, you'll be glad to know that the game features the actual voices from the show. Most games now don't even have the real voices. Also, many games made in '95 still didn't even have voices. Having the real voices was a great thing.

Sound:
Pretty average, swoosh, zap, what else is there to say.

Video:
The movie clips in the game are well done for the time, especially the ones of the ship. The characters aren't all to impressive, but fine none the less.

Gameplay:
There are 2 different parts of gameplay: on ship, and away team.
While on the ship you can go anywhere you feel like, talk to your crew for ideas, talk to guests, call star fleet for a little review of your mission and performance analysis, and play around in engineering. Generally you will only be on your ship to get around as most of the game takes place on various planets. Also, while on board you can fight other ships. Now the battle system is definitely lacking, its basically very clunky and boring really, but this doesn't really take away from the game as you ill rarely ever fight other ships unless you decide to go freelancing in Romulan space.
While on the various planets you are allowed to go to (note: you can only go to planets as part of the story, no random adventures, sorry) you meet people and explore of course. You control the entire party deciding hat you will do and where you will go. The puzzles the you must solve can be pretty hard at times, but not undoable (as in some games).

Closing:
In short, this game does almost everything right. Its too bad you can't go exploring planets other then the ones as part of the main story, but realistically there are just too many to include them all. Now, the only real hang up I had with this game is that occasionally it would crash and just close, while this is annoying its not to bad as you should save often anyway, but it should have been fixed and I'm mad it wasn't. Overall, if you get a copy, just play it, it will kill a couple hours and hey its pretty fun.
