			**Preface**
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought of making this guide when I was taking a walk inside the
message board of this game. One member said that there is no guide
here that states an assured way of getting heroes in Kenji's Journey.
I decided to make one, so that I can at least help others :)
Okay, it's time to start the guide. I'll try to make things clear so
that people can understand. Are you ready? Let's start.

			**Introduction**
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello people! It's my second guide, again for Liquid Entertainment's
Battle Realms! Now, our topic is about heroes, or what we call the
Zen Masters! Zen Masters are special characters that are too different from
normal units. They have single ability that creates either devastating
effects on opponents or useful effects on allies. These abilities are not
free, they need certain amount of Stamina in order for them to use it. As long
as the hero has the required stamina, he'll be able to use his/her ability.
Abilities can either be an AOE effect, single target, single time effect or
continuous effect. AOE or Area Of Effect abilities affects an area rather than
a single target. An example is when you throw a bomb to an area, a bomb will
not kill only a single unit but will rather damage all units on the area where
it was thrown. An example of an area of effect ability is Otomo's Battle Cry
wherein all allies around him will have their attack damage increased.
Thus, the area of effect talked about was the area around him. All AOEs has
their limits. Single target abilities requires you to target a specific allied
unit or a specific spot on the map. After selecting that specific unit, the
effect takes place. Single time effects needs some explanation. When you click
the icon of this kind of ability, the ability icon will be highlighted. This
means that on your next attack, the effect of the ability will take place.
The best example is Kenji's BG. Its description is "The next attack does
double damage", this means that when you click the icon, it will be
highlighted and the next attack does double damage. Continuous effect drains
your stamina until it's already depleted. Once you click it, the effect takes
place while it slowly or quickly drains your stamina. Some Zen Masters,
however, has special innate ability wherein they can interact without using
stamina. Example is Kenji's special attack. And before you ask, Yin/Yangs in
original BR increases the damage of these heroes. Zen Masters can also be
acquired/revived in a structure called Keep. Well, that's all I can say for
the Zen Masters. I hope everyone will like my second FAQ.

			**The Guide**
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Before anything else, let me put a list of all acquirable heroes
first.

The names of the two paths are only made by me

Path of Righteousness (Dragon Path)
- Otomo
- Shinja
- Garrin
- Arah
- Gaihla
- Soban
- Kazan
- Tao
- Monks
- Ninjas

Way of the Wicked (Serpent Path)
- Otomo
- Shinja
- Vetkin
- Budo
- Utara
- Koril
- Ninjas
- Monks
- Tao

Alright. Look at the list and see if there is one hero that surprised
you, saying that you missed him/her. If there is, then kindly read
this guide to know how to get him/her.

Now, are you ready for your tour trip around the BR for these Zen Master??
If you are... Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for take off!!

Dragon Path:

/* Otomo */
How to get:
=- Finish the first mission. He'll join you automatically after helping the
helpless peasants.
Comments:
He has strong attack damage. His battle gear raises his attack power so as his
allies' around him. His strong attack power begets his weaker defense and
slower movement speed. When he runs, he runs slowly and running consumes his
stamina faster than normal. His attack speed is fair.

/* Shinja */
How to get:
=- Make him submit by finishing the second and third mission. If you
will pick the eastern province first, you must kill all enemies
first then destroy Shinja's keep and defeat him in the other province.
But if you're going to choose the western province first, you must
destroy his keep first and defeat him in the other province.
Comments:
His twin swords are tempered with poison so on every attack he inflicts, he
also injects poison on his prey. He has fair attack damage and high defense
and faster movement speed. His BG enfeebles nearby opponent's attacks for few
seconds, this makes his high defense more useful. In Dragon Clan, he seeks
opponents himself.

/* Garrin */
How to get:
=- After the first and second mission, when you are now working to
get to the Swan's Pool, pick the middle path and just finish it.
Remember to keep him alive so that you'll attain him.
Comments:
=- I don't actually use him in combat but I know he is a powerful
fighter. I think he has fair defense and he has a long sword.
You can capture horse easily with him, though one whistle consumes all of his
stamina.

/* Arah */
How to get:
=- On your road to Swan's Pool, pick the western path wherein you'll
fight the unprepared wolf miners. In the start of mission, move a
little north and you'll see her. Save her, and she's yours. Make sure
to keep her alive okay?
Note: Getting Arah wil prevent you from getting Garrin.
Comments:
POWERFUL. That's it! Her shining arrows swallows every opponents' life. Her
Her attack range is sniper-like. What else do you expect?? However,
when engaged by melee opponent, she is toasted. So keep her away
from melee fighters.

/* Gaihla */
How to get:
=- After the thief has stolen the orb, meaning you already finished the
serpentholm mission, you are going to take another three paths.
Picking the middle path will let you take Gaihla. She is in the
middle of map. Not exactly as middle, but she is on middle part of
the map. She is being harrassed by some pitch slingers. Save her and
let her live for the rest of mission and she's yours.
Comments:
She's not a good fighter but she'll be good if used correctly.
She also has another ability of growing crops. She also can heal a
group of troops fully.

/* Soban */
How to get:
=- Forget Gaihla and pick the eastern path rather to get Soban. The
eastern path is where you'll deal with the Lotus clan. Build a very
powerful team and charge to the southern part of map. Don't kill
anything first. Just go down and make a peaceful trip to the south.
After going to the south, you'll see a high ground with cliff on top.
Climb up to the top of that high ground and reach the cliff. You'll
see Soban with his two acolytes arguing with Koril. After the argue,
you'll see Koril teleport away and Soban will walk. You can already
control him but he'll just disobey you and will run around like an
autistic person. If he's like that, you'll just be forced to restart
your mission since he'll just disappoint you. So just let him walk
by himself and guard him against opposing attacks. Remember that he
resisted the Lotus clan so the whole Lotus clan will come and
destroy him. Defend him without losing your team until he walks to
his destination. He wants to go to Issyl's base and wants to destroy
it, So help him and after destroying all opposing forces, he's yours.
Keep him alive until the end of mission to successfully get him.
Comments:
Great fighter. His attacks deal fair damage both to units and
buildings. His golems help a lot in industrial and military purposes.
Industrial, for farming and water collecting. Military, for
detonation.

/* Kazan */
How to get:
=- He'll be under your control in the Swan's Pool mission.
He'll return in the Dragon Spire mission and will be with you for
the rest of the game.
Comments:
Slow but building destroyer. Use his battlegear against a building
and watch it burn to ground quickly. YOu can also watch peasants
exert their efforts, trying to extinguish the fire. But you can't
let that happen, blow their buildings out and make them run for
their lives. But you'll soon run for Kazan's life if the opponents'
fighters come.

/* Tao and the ninjas */
How to get:
=- He says he is the master of balance but we'll reject the balance
by picking the ninja's path after defeating the traitor Shinja with
his Lotus allies. Reject the balance because this mission is NOT
balanced. This is pretty easy. Destroy the soul flame with Tao still
standing on ground and he, together with the ninjas, is yours.
Comments:
Tao's reversal of fortune is cool. You'll see all melee attackers
suffer with this battlegear activated. The problem is his low HP.
For ninjas, they are good fighters but not as good as the monks.
They are better scouts than fighters.

/* Monks */
How to get:
=- Forget that ninja-monk and take pure monks by picking the western
path and not picking the eastern-ninja path. Finish this mission by
protecting the monastery and defeating the lotus clan. Don't try to
destroy the ninjas, they are infinite in number.
Comments:
Powerful fighters! Too powerful that their bare body parts, fists and
feet can blow opponents' body! If they're low on health and stamina
after battle, they can meditate to quickly regenerate life and stamina.
However, meditation will put their guard down and will make them accept more
damage.

Serpent Path:

/* Otomo */
How to get:
=- Pick western path as your second mission and after finishing it,
you'll attain Otomo.
Comments:
He has strong attack damage. His battle gear raises his attack power so as his
allies' around him. His strong attack power begets his weaker defense and
slower movement speed. When he runs, he runs slowly and running consumes his
stamina faster than normal. His attack speed is fair.

/* Shinja */
He's an alter-ego of Dragon
Path Shinja. Here, he just stands and though his opponents are attacking him,
he'll just stand there and wait to die. You will be forced to control him and
keep your eye on him ALWAYS.

/* Vetkin */
How to get:
=- Take the middle path. Demolish the local traders and he'll join
you. If not, finish the mission without him being killed and you
can get him.
Comments:
He's a fast runner. Running never drains his stamina so he can run around and
scout the map. His battle gear depletes nearby opponents' stamina in an
instant.

/* Budo */
How to get:
=- Getting Vetkin will never prevent you from getting Budo. I always
get Budo after taking Vetkin. He'll be taken after the swan's pool
mission, a perfect time for him to be taken. Just put your characters
to the west and make Kenji talk to him. Let that perverted fat
harrass your geisha and he's yours. Make sure this fat one don't die.
Comments:
High defense and fair damage. His battlegear is to force peasants to
work harder. This costs peasants life and over usage can kill your
peasants. Use wisely not harshly. However, he's insanely slow and running
quickly drains his stamina.
Note: Killing own peasants can also be done for fun. You can also
watch peasants run as fast as they could after few whips from Budo.

/* Utara */
How to get:
=- After that foolish thief escapes to the north and tries to find
some allies, you'll be on your way to choose from three provinces
again. Choosing the western will let you get Utara. The cutscene
at the beginning will let you know where she is. She is at the
middle of the map. Just go near the keep and she'll show herself.
Let her live until the end of mission as usual to use her throughout
the game.
Comments:
A single normal attack will poison and stun all nearby enemies.
She can actually kill a group of enemies if her HP is enough. Her
battlegear damages every opponent near her. She's very powerful
offender but very weak defender.

/* Koril */
How to get:
=- Instead of taking that black geisha Utara, take the eastern path
wherein you'll take on the final battalion of Lotus. Just charge to
his base. Take enough HP away from him and he'll join you. Usual
activity of making a new hero live for the rest of mission is a
must.
Comments:
Range attacks don't work on this guy. He can teleport anywhere in
one blink that costs about three-fourths of his stamina
and can deal real damage on enemies.

/* Ninjas */
How to get:
=- Take the ninja's path and destroy the soul flame and the wolf
clan. Better to take out the wolf clan first so that some ninjas will
still be on your side. But if you are consumed by your evil self,
betray your friend ninja and destroy his beloved soul flame and take
on both wolf and ninja team.
Comments:
They are good fighters but not as good as the monks.
They are better scouts than fighters.

/* Monks */
How to get:
=- If your conscience is already consumed by Kenji's evil doings in
serpent path, you can now ignore the originally bad ninjas and make
the monks worse than ninjas. Take the monk path and destroy their
monastery to take control over them.
Comments:
Powerful fighters! Too powerful that their bare body parts, fists and
feet can blow opponents' body! If they're low on health and stamina
after battle, they can meditate to quickly regenerate life. However,
meditation will put their guard down and will make them accept more
damage.

/* Tao */
How to get:
=- If you choose to demolish the faith and goodness of monks, cheer up!
You can rise with new evil clan together with the master of balance.
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our new comrade...... TAO!!!
(A round of applause)
To get him, go to the right side of the map when the mission starts. You
will see him being attacked by monks. Rescue him, keep him alive and
he's yours.
Comments:
He has a powerful battlgear. All melee attackers will surely suffer
with his battlegear. Activating the Reversal Of Fortune will consume his
stamina quickly but might also consume the Hit Points of melee attackers
quickly as well.

That's it!
All heroes listed and how to take them surely.
I hope this will help some people and I hope everyone will like this.
If I missed a hero, please contact me in my e-mail.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: I never saw Tao in the map of the monks! Who told you that,my friend?
A: Darksmile08 e-mailed me about his ability to be obtained in serpent's path.
I don't know the reason why you can't see him there because I still haven't
tried it yet. Now, I'm planning to test it myself. However, I will still wait
for someone to confirm about this, thanks in advance.

If you have some questions, my e-mail is here to recieve your questions. I'd
