"She's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack........."

Introduction:
This is the well-endowed, apparent first review of Tomb Raider: Chronicles at www.gamefaqs.com. It is the fifth installment of the Tomb Raider Series(aka Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider II, Tomb Raider III:The Adventures of Lara Croft, Tomb Raider IV:The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider: Chronicles and Tomb Raider:The Angel of Darkness). Most people think that the Tomb Raider series will never get better, but I believe that as long as it maintains its good controls and spicy gameplay(TR:TOAD was NOT a good example of these qualities).

Gameplay 10/10:
There are 13 levels across 4 worlds all revolving around Lara Croft's friends and mentors telling stories of the past. Don't worry - you've never been to these places before. It features the same, grand old ''find-the-blue-key-to-open-the-blue-door'' gameplay ethics. Fun and entertaining.

Story 8/10:
The story isn't that exciting. The past titles have maintained a specific story that involved many dramatic elements. Danger, suspense, fear and courage to name just a few. But in Chronicles, there is no such story. Lara Croft has supposedly died in Egypt; as shown in the previous game. Now, her friends and mentors look back upon four of her previous adventures while awaiting word from Von Croy who is confirming her death. Still, the stories feature much entertainment. Story 1 features a bumbling duo of two artifact seekers. They are hilarious when they bump into Lara while searching. Another story features Lara as a teen, tracking down a mentor of hers in a very, very strange underworld on an Ireland island. It's extremely spooky! The final story is in a high-tech facility that features Lara in costume that could have been worn by Trinity and gameplay that is found is Splinter Cell. All in all, the story isn't all that bad.

Sound 9/10:
A few sound fx are out of line, but other than that the music is beautiful as in previous titles. Awesome.

Graphics 9/10:
Seeing as I bought this game three years after it was released, the graphics are........ ok. Water drips off Lara
as in TR4 and there are more animated moves in the enemies. Also in one level, when Lara is aboard a sinking submarine, the water and fire is portrayed beautifully.

Conclusion 8/10:
Despite a few sound hiccups and dated graphics, Tomb Raider Chronicles is still worth a play. It's only $10 people, how bad could it be? And compared to the latest Tomb Raider, this title ROCKS!!!!!!! How can you say no to the best TR title yet? See! You can't!
