"Hit the dirt! Motocross style!"

This is just your typical Motocross racer. Nothing new you might say. Personally I am not a motorbike race fan and have not played any yet. However, this game actually made me like biking...all right read on for the full details.

Graphics-8
The producers of this game are not exactly famous. As a matter of fact, have you ever heard of deibus? Bet you have not...however such an unknown developers have managed to produce a game with such crisp graphics. Yes I know there are much better games out there in terms of graphics but for an unknown developer, they have definitely put in a lot of effort. Even the back of the CD box says that "Fluid and non-repetitive character motion" indicating that no 2 crashes are the same. The bikers are graphically enhanced to crash according to the environment they are which in other words means, that they use rag-doll physics. The textures are also very smooth and you can actually travel out of the track for hours and still not come across the same place twice.

Music-8
They music suits the environment very well and gets you into the biking mood. There is not much more for this area.

Controls - 6
Personally, I did not like the controls for this game, as the only way you can turn is by power sliding. If not, prepare to loose speed...a lot of it. And there are two different ways to do stunts. Although this is a neat addition.... this can prove troublesome at times, as there are just too many buttons for a motorbike racing game.

Gameplay-7
Alright this was not so bad and would have been way better if your opponents were mortals.... that's right, I have never seen the computer AI make a single flaw. The computer opponents are normally indestructible and you have to use your brain and know the computer's style if u want to beat them. And somehow, all their bikes are super pimped up before the start of career mode. So you have to use a pathetic bike to fight the monsters. If u wanna upgrade your bike, you have to beat those pimped up bikes and earn money which can be a pain in the neck. Other than that the game is real fun. Aspects such as Freerun and Baja make the game really worthwhile. You can also pull beautiful stunts in the freerun races to earn stunt points to unlock new stunts. It's easy to do stunts once you get used to it.

Buy or rent ?
I would suggest renting and if you still like it, buy it!
