"Only Medal of Honor Would Give You Such Greatness in a Game!"
To be a PC Shooter of this high a calibur is unreal!!!
I will try to review this game with words but it is hard to describe such a grand game!
This is usually always where a game eithers shines or just ends in the garbage and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault shines brighter than the sun! This is in no way like other pc shooters, this game has depth and isn't just about going around and shooting up your enemy. Going undercover, landing on the beaches of Normandy, holding a town from the Germans and so much more makes this game stand out from the rest. The controls are so smooth and easily manageable, not to mention customizable to your comfort making them easily much better than if it would have been on console like its two counterparts. The variety of weapons is great, the accurate portayal of the weapons was top notch. Of course the AI is just what I would expect out of such a game, kicking or picking up grenades and throwing them back at you, super quick reaction time, realistic death scenes and so much more are to found by the AI. The overwhelming amount of gameplay is amazing and as soon as you step off the truck in the first mission, you can just feel the impact of it.
Detail, what detail does MOH:AA bring you! The character models are very lifelike in every aspect, from moving to speaking, to reactions. The environments are incredible, vast and deep, without that compass guiding you, you'd easily get lost in all detailed backgrounds around you. The details on the weapons are great, showing the weapon number on top of a gun or the catridge shooting off the gun when it's out of ammo is great. So much attention paid to every detail of the game, great explosions that fill the screen, you'd have to be a fool to not notice such magnificent graphics. Just be warned, this requires a pretty powerful system to run it on.
The sound of bullet whizzing by your head, the sound of a German who has spotted you, it gives you shivers just hearing such a masterpiece of sound in a game. First off, the voice acting is wonderful, ingame voices are flawless without any hitches or any bad played parts. The musical scores that play in your missions are among the best in the gaming industry. Triumphant music accompanies you in every mission and calm music accompanies you in every mission, the selections were just great. Playing this game in surround sound and with a sub is the ultimate feeling, you are just engrossed by the sound and it pulls you in for a great feel.
I could play this game over and over till my hands are pounding down to the bone. Getting every medal in the first try is impossible and don't say it isn't. Playing the Omaha Beach level alone is enough to play this again and again.
Overall=Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!
Pure enjoyment, this is a game that has very few flaws and I mean very few flaws. Everything about this game will make you drool like a dog. This game can be enjoyed anyway, whether if you have a surround sound system or not, it's still going to pull you in and never let you go. Play It Now!
