"More diablo!"

Here is my review for Diablo's expantion, pack Hellfire. This is a pretty fun expantion pack but its missing one major thing, battle net. The thing that made Diablo famous, other then its brilliant single player was its multi player, with the exception of hackers it was really fun.

Story: It's the same story with two added dungeons, there is not really much to talk about here.

Graphics: The graphics are nice looking like the first game but they are a bit dated now, I still find they look nice but I wish there was more variety in the armour; it is still only 3 different looks per character.

Audio: As with the first game I like the audio, the monster sounds and the voice acting is pretty good, I also like the spell sounds in this game a lot. The new voices are ok; I thought farmer brown was pretty funny, not as funny as Farnham though, he is priceless. There is some new music in the area's it is pretty neat. Overall I think they captured a good diablo atmosphere.

Game play: This is still the good old hack and slash that Diablo was loved for, I can say it has not changed all that much, but instead there are a couple extra areas added on, the first is the hive, it's a pretty crappy dungeon, its kind of boring and it is always the same green stuff, I know the dungeons are all repetitive but this one is extra repetitive. The second dungeon is the crypt, this is very fun and neat dungeon, its all very strange looking, everything looks very nice and smooth in it, I had a lot of fun in the crypt, it was a pretty hard dungeon on top of everything and the boss was fun too. There are a couple new weapons added in the expantion also but they are not a huge deal, what really hurt this expantion pack is the lack of multi player, for some reason sierra did not add any multiplayer, this really limited the replay ability that this game had, there is a local connection but there is no battle net, that is one of the things that made Diablo so popular, you could play with anyone anywhere and work on the campaign. I did the crypt around 5 times and the hive 2 or 3 times, I did not go crazy replaying it though.
