RollerCoaster Tycoon 2
Review by Douglas R007
"RCT2: The TRUE Sequel of RCT!"
So there was Roller Coaster Tycoon then Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes. Now Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, not another expansion pack but a true sequel to the award winning Roller Coaster Tycoon. Also, Hasbro wasn't the ones who actually made RCT2 this time it's Infogames who made RCT2 but this doesn't change the way you've played like in the previous Roller Coaster Tycoon games.
Gameplay: The gameplay hasn't really changed much in RCT2 from the other RCT games it's basically maintain a theme park, make rides and roller coasters, maintain roller coasters from braking down, etc. but I'm not saying it's a bad thing actually it's a good thing that the gameplay hasn't changed much in RCT2. Somethings were added like, guests can actually view the ride and watch it, new things were added, some glitches were fixed, etc.
Graphics: The graphics of the guests hasn't change and look pretty much outdated, this alone does have an effect of the game since it looks like they haven't been changed from the 1st Roller Coaster Tycoon game, but the roller coasters (especially the Six Flag ones) look awesome with great detail. But since Graphics don't really make a game perfect it's up to your choice if you like the graphics in Roller Coaster Tycoon 2.
New Features: The new features that RCT2 had to offer are great, you can now test rides before saving their design and don't have to worry about guests in your test ride. The Scenario editor is a great feature and you can set a scenario up for people online to test to see if they can beat it. Also, a useless feature also included was a scenery editor which basically lets you make your own scenery from all the sceneries that are in RCT2 but new attractions were added in RCT2 like a First Aid room which helps guests to lower their nausea which helps with roller coasters that cause guests to raise their nausea also new benches were added which look better then the regular benches and give the theme park some taste.
Overall: Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 is pretty much the same from previous versions of Roller Coaster Tycoon in a nutshell but you should still pick it up and try it to see if you like or not - it's your choice, I bought the game and played it and it's great!
