"As Much Fun as a Real Amusement Park.."

I loved the first RollerCoaster Tycoon, which first came out back in 1999. So obviuously when RollerCoaster came out, I got it. To my surprise, it was even better than the first!

Gameplay: 9/10
I love it!! You could either play the set scenarios or make your own! Both modes are very fun, and addicting like always. This time, they acuired the Six Flags licence, so there's a whole bunch of real rollercoasters from real Six Flags parks around the world. This time, they've also added way more rides and attractions. You can choose from over 120 rides and attractions to put in your park!! Running a park is as simple as it's ever been in RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. Basically you build the park, build rides, hire staff, and sit back and wait for something exciting to happen. Actually, something exciting is always happening, so it will never get boring. Your main goal is to make guests happy, and do whatever scenario they set forth of you. This time you can actually build your own rollercoasters whenever you want. Meaning you can start from scratch and make your rollercoaster however thrilling, exciting, or nauseating you want it to be! The park selection is huge, and you could start off with an easy park/scenario if you want, then move forward until you reach the hardest park to run! Like the first, you hire handymen, mechanics, security guards, and entertainers. In this one, you can now name your staff members, which can actually be fun sometimes. One of the most guilty pleasures is drowning your staff members. The guests in the park complain as much as they did in the first, but as annoying as it could be, it just gives you ideas on how yo make your park better. The only bad part about the gameplay is that when you have a premade rollercoaster, placing footpaths is nearly impossible sometimes.

Graphics: 7/10
The graphics are pretty good. It's well polished, and the ride designs look real. The water, and any other element in the game looks great. The weather changes more often than in the first, and the lightning, and rain effects are also good. The only problem is that it looks too much like the first RollerCoaster Tycoon. I would also like to see some more variety in how the people look. All the people look the same, except different shirt colors.

Sound: 9/10
The sound in the game is really great! When the rides operate they sound realistic, and are perfectly timed, something that the first one sort of lacked. The peoples reactions to rides are outstanding. The puking even sounds real. Yes, you heard me, the puking sounds real. Even though it's something that may gross you out, it's still great. The people's screaming on rides sounds good. Unlike the first, there's lots of music in the game. You can pick from over thirty different kinds of music to play on your ride. Overall the sound is great, but the only problem is that a few parts sound a tiny bit outdated.

Controls: 10/10
It is a PC game, and most PC games have good controls. This game is no different. The keyboard is really optional, except for when you type names of people/rides, so you only really use the mouse. How easy can controls get?? There's nothing wrong with them.

Value: 9/10
The game is never-ending, so it will keep you occupied forever! It's not the newest game in the series, so it's not that expensive. Pick it up some time, you won't regret it.

Overall:
Pros:
-Gameplay is great, better than the first!
-Over 120 Rides/Attractions!
-Awesome Rollercoaster designs
-Good Sound
-All you really use is your mouse!
-One of the most addicting games for the PC

Cons:
*Sometimes it's hard to make footpaths
*Some outdated graphics
