"A game made after the book"

Introduction:
The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring is a game based on the book and published by Black Label Games and Surreal Software. This game allows you to play as Frodo, Aragorn and Gandalf

Gameplay: 5
I can't complain about the controls because you can install the controls so that it fits you're style. The difficulty is medium because the path in a level is very obvious, but the enemies make it more difficult (lots of trolls to kick your butt). The moves are pretty much the same with each character and some of them can't even hit the enemies so you often run instead of fighting your enemies. For example, Gandalf slashes mostly horizontally so he can't hit the smaller wolves.

Story: 9
The game like any Lord of the Rings game tells about the Dark Lord Sauron and the ring that would give him the power to enslave the world. The Hobbit Frodo is the one to destroy the ring.
The game follows the book very good. The most crucial parts of the story are included and lots of lines from the book are included and well presented by the voice talents.

Graphics: 6
Very astonishing graphics are one off the features of this game. All the natural environment of Middle-Earth is totally realistic (Moria is very dusty and the Shire is all meadow with hobbit holes all over the place). The cut scenes are very good but with a high amount of Kb so your Pc will probably restart leaving you angered because you've lost you progress or the cut scene and sound don't run synchronised.

Sound: 4
You'll possibly get annoyed by the sounds because it is the usual sword slashing and orc-screaming. The music is very good and fits with the situation so you'll really think: "Okay, an orc will charge from behind that corner."

Re playability: 3
After the first time you will probably put the game away because there are few or none side-quests in a level. Or you like the sword slashing and replay it one other time but then the fun is over. There is no option to increase the difficulty so there is absolutely no challenge in replaying the game.

Final recommendation:
Rent the game if you are curious about it and if you really are a great Tolkien fan it will possibly be a gadget. I think the game is a very disappointing game.
