Leisure Suit Larry In the Land of the Lounge Lizards

"Great start to a great humorous series!!!"

This is one hilarious game! Even the old EGA version shines brightly. This is one timeless classic, and will be enjoyed by all!

Story-
You are Larry Laffer. You are 40 years old, and you just moved out of your home, ahem, your MOMS home. Larry is not too experienced with the ladies, and he wants to change that. Larry wants to become the true swinger. So he dons his leisure suit, gold chains, and brings his handy dandy breath spray, which will be used FREQUENTLY. Can you get married? Do you have to go as low as to becoming a man with a prostitute? Even lower then that, a LOVE DOLL? (This game is for adults or the mature, if you haven't figured out yet!).

Gameplay-
Can't get too much better. You walk through 3-D Lounge Lizard environment. A casino, bar, hotel, etc. Easy to play, on both versions. This area gets a perfect 10.

Graphics-
OK, I will be frank. On the original version the graphics are... shabby. BUT, this is an old game. You must take that into account. But also, it does get a little annoying sometimes, I can handle it, some might not be able to. The new and revised versions graphics are more up to par. I give the graphics a 5 for the original, and an 8 for the revised version.

Sound-
The old game is, old. Therefore there isn't much sound. The new version though, has some real cool tunes. The theme song will get stuck in your head, its real catchy! I give it a 2 for the original, and a 9 for the new version.

Replayability-
This IS an adventure game, so replayability isn't the highest. BUT, the game is SO funny, that each time you do play it (I have come back to it a few times), you will laugh and enjoy it. It is also fun to compare the old to the new versions, to see what has changed, and how. I give this a 7.

-adult only humor (hey, teens and kids have a lot of adult humor in their lives already)
-replayability isn't the highest

The Verdict-
Put it this way, if you find either of the games and they aren't in the new collections, buy them at whatever cost! These games are part of computer game history! If you like the sound of the game, and can handle the humor, buy the collection! Great laughs, great fun!
