C. Basics/Intro

Welcome, friends, to my DX-Ball Board Creator FAQ.  This is just a 
general FAQ that (for the love of god) has some frills to it, such as a 
tourney for #1 scores, People's ideas, and yes, some cheats.  Cheats 
will expand to DX-Ball 2 and the tourney will expand all the way up to 
Rival Ball(The most current game in the DX-Ball series.)  Now to sum up 
the basics, it's just like any of today's clones.  Hit the ball with 
your paddle, and collect any power-ups along the way.  Only thing 
different about this game is that the power-ups being color-coded, blue 
for good, gray(yellow as of today)for miscellanious, and red being 
bad(mostly).  Enough of that, let's get to buliding...Oh, I forgot the 
instructions for this!  Oh well, I'll add those in the way it's set up:

N --Next Board
P --Previous Board
BKSP --Clear Board
L --Load Boards
S --Save Boards
CTRL --Hold to Draw*

(*-Hold CTRL and Click either mouse button to draw in or out multiple 
peices)

I. Peices, peices...

Now the color bricks range from a wide amount of colors, in all color 
familys.  These will be (hopefully) your mostly used bricks

IA. Ways you can use these

Be decoretive.  That's the reason they're there in all those colors

I1. Gray skys

The gray bricks, ah, how boring.  Anyhow, They Turn down one shade every 
time you hit them.  Colors range from: gray, dark gray, and black.  
Pretty boring, isn't it?

I1A.Ways you can use these

Oh boy, this is tough, just use these to contrast certian aeras.

I2. Can't bust this!

The yellow indestructable blocks are hard hitters, even harder when you 
place ones with pink in the middle in hard-to-reach areas.

I2A. How to use these

Just use to make your life a living nightmare.  you can also make 
shapes, but that wastes space.  By the way, the ones with pink are the 
ones you need to hit

I3. You don't see them, now you do!

Invisible blocks are shown in the brick box as a white rain on a black 
background.  Place them to harden up the board, even though you''ll know 
where they are.  Two hits to get rid of these bad boys

I3A. Ways to use these

As I said, these will harden up the game by a margin, so use at your own 
risk

I4. Boom.  Period.

Exploding blocks blow up on contact, That's the fun in these.  They are 
white and orange blending together...like a half-eaten creamcicle! :)

I4A. Ways to use these

Put them next to yellow blocks, if possible, or at your own prefrence, 
for the fact that they make the board easier.

II. Other ways of using this

You can cheat making some boards easier, or you can make them harder if 
it's not hard enough.  You can even start from scratch!  Just remember, 
you'll be replacing a/some/all board(s) if you do this, and you can see 
the next few boards you didn't beat, so, again, use at your own risk.

the color code in the "My levela" section.  I got nothing left, so this 
will remain blank unless otherwise.

VII. Cheats

Well, I might as well include this section.  This is the unoffical 
cheats guide I can make.

DX-Ball

All cheats require the holding of the CTRL(Control) key.

F1-Normal paddle; Entered at the title screen, the board editor pops up
F2-Grab paddle power-up
F3-Laser paddle power-up
F4-Paddle expansion power-up

These cheats don't need the CTRL(Control) key

F5-Toggle MIDI music, it's always random
F6-Turns off music

DX-Ball 2

All cheats require the word "eureka" during play.

Up-First board in set
Down-Last board in set
Left-Move to next board to the left
Right-Move to next board to the right
Any other key-Any random item(including death)*

(*- There is no death in Kid Mode)

If you know any cheats for rival ball, please tell me.  There might not 
be any cheats because LDA was afraid they[the players]might use these in 
multi-player games.
