"A bad Playstation import brought to the PC"

A game ported from what I think was the Playstation 1 because the graphics left a whole lot to be desired. If the graphics were better than this game would have been more enjoyable.


GRAPHICS
Bad. They are poorly drawn and the colors tend not to match very well. The landscape rendering, if you can even call it that, is sloppy. Most everything in the environment is blurred or distorted in some fashion instead of being crisp and clean. The only decent thing is the cut scenes (mostly) at least those were done in a decent manner, even still nothing compared to modern graphics or CG animation.

SOUND & MUSIC
Bad. There really isn't anything special about either. The sound effects for the weapons are bland as are the environmental effects. It's needs salt. Perhaps the only decent thing is the running water which at least sounds like it should, and the sounds footsteps make when they step on metal or ground. But big deal that's nothing.

PLAYABILITY & CONTENT
Fair. The plot is somewhat decent. Pretty much there was an experiment that caused prehistoric and future times to merge and the dinosaurs took over. They tried to give it a horror feel to the game but it doesn't really work when you know you're fighting dinosaurs. That and coupled with the bad graphics brought the game down. It was still somewhat playable and I surprised myself by actually playing it to the end. More cutscenes might have made the game more enjoyable to play, and if they just spend a little time doing the graphics better it would have improved it even more. At least you get a somewhat decent variety of weapons, and you can switch between two characters as the story progresses. Too bad though the dialog is campy, another thing they could have spent some time on.
