Freddi Fish 2: The Case of the Haunted Schoolhouse
Review by Resident Evil Zombie
"A good game that is maily for kids."
Freddi Fish 2: The Castle of the Haunted Schoolhouse was one of the Freddi fish games I played when I was little. Now almost 8 years later I finally decided to review this game.
Story: 7/10
The school fish's toys have been stolen by a ghost in the schoolhouse. When Freddi (who is a girl by the way) finds a piece of white sheet in the schoolhouse. She suspects the ghost is a fraud. Freddi and her friend Luther devise a plan to capture the ghost.
It's an average story for a kids game. I give the story a 7.
Controls: 10/10
The controls are probably the simplest feature of this game. You only need to use the mouse. You use the mouse to talk to other underwater species, choose Freddi's direction, pick up items, etc. The controls are simple for kids at a very young age. I give the controls a 10.
Sound: 9/10
The sound is also another nice feature of this game. The voice-acting is subpar and could've been worked on a little bit. The music is pretty good though. I liked the random sounds of the game much better though. There is a coral reef in the game that you can click on and it says "Hey Batter! Hey Batter!" or "Anyone up for a game of tennis?". Those random sounds make the game much better. I give the sound a 9.
Graphics: 9/10
There is not much that I can say about the graphics in this game. The graphics are cartoonish and very kiddy looking. Since this is a kid's game though, the cartoonish looks are fine. I give the graphics a 9.
Gameplay: 9/10
The objective of the game is to help Freddi find all the items she needs to build the ship. Freddi must search the ocean to find these items. Obtaining the items won't be so easy though. Freddi must solve puzzles, run errands for other characters, and get other items to retrieve the items she needs. Freddi also can collect purple sea urchins for later use. The different items Freddi needs to get changes every game.
Besides finding items, you can also play games and interact with the environment. What does interacting with the environment mean? You can click on anything in this game and the thing you click on interacts. You can click on a piece of seaweed and it could start to dance or click on a rock and you will see some fish stealing it. Interacting with the environment let's players enjoy the game more without worry about the main quest. I give the gameplay a 9.
Overall: 8/10
This is a great game for younger kids. It's not too easy or hard. Some older gamers might even like this game!
