On to the Factory

GO TO THE FACTORY AND RECLAIM THE FIRST LADY AIRSHIP

Outside of the gunsmith's shop, there are a few allies opening the door to the factory that was closed earlier. Watch them blow up this door, then the next door, and then rush into the long courtyard. Here, you should use Possession on one of the turrets at the other end and then pick off the enemies in front of you while they are distracted.

Move up to that position, and Elizabeth alerts you to a Motorized Patriot. You can use the tear for the Rocket Automaton, but the turret probably won't last long. Just use Shock Jockey and spray some bullets into the Motorized Patriot. After that, clear the remaining men near the gate. A few waves jump down, but your own allies can take care of them for you.

At the gate, the Vox Populi attempt to open it for you, but they can't with that darn zeppelin firing overhead. Time for a little sky-line ride to put that led into the zeppelin.

TAKE OUT THE ZEPPELIN

Sprint to the sky-line and attach to it. This is a long ride - you'll weave in and out of buildings - but finally you'll see the airship. Sky-line strike the enemy on the platform, then use Possession on the turret to kill the other enemy.

Run inside the zeppelin and take out the normal enemies. There is also a turret and a Motorized Patriot in this room that make great Possession material. After clearing the room, destroy the engine to take out the zeppelin. Jump, folks: it's gonna go down like a lead zeppelin!

GO TO THE FACTORY AND RECLAIM THE FIRST LADY AIRSHIP

Right after destroying the engine, head over to the hatch to the left and look down to see a sky-line. Jump down and attach to it, then dismount near the entrance of the factory. Ascend the golden stairs to the factory itself. Before you enter, use the Telescope in the center of the stairs.

Another telescope easily missed. Curiously, it's all black.

GO TO THE FACTORY AND TAKE BACK THE FIRST LADY AIRSHIP

Inside the factory, take either door to the next room. Since you also have a few allies, the battle in this room shouldn't be too difficult. There is a turret and two normal enemies - destroy the turret first, then take out the men.

In the following room, pick up the Gear from the fallen dolly. After you've taken everything in this area, ride the elevator and look through the window to see some of the factory. Answer the phone to realize you actually have another enemy, and exit the elevator to see two enemies smoking in front of you. Use the smoke break to take both of them out, then do the same to their friend who curiously scampers across the room.

GO TO THE FACTORY AND RECLAIM THE FIRST LADY AIRSHIP

Repetitive objectives ahoy! In the room to the left, there are several vendors that sell new upgrades and also the normal stuff. Consider upgrading some of your Vigors and weapons if you have extra cash. Before you leave this room, search behind the Dollar Bills vending machine to find a piece of Gear!

The Gear (glowing) behind the vending machine.

Head back out into the main hall, and search the desks behind the small divider to find a gold bar and a silver bar. You can also find a Voxophone ("A Child Needs A Protector") in the corner near a few chalkboards. Finally, pick up the Undertow Vigor near the dead troop. This is another extremely useful vigor: it's right up there with Shock Jockey.

Tell Elizabeth to unlock the door. In this area, there is a whirling clock in front of you. Run up to the window under it and watch a horrific murder. After that, you are caught in a tough fight. This fight might seem extremely difficult at first, but if Undertow is used effectively, it isn't too bad.

Begin by riding the sky-line up to the top platform. From here, jump down to the hovering ship and use Undertow to blast the enemies off. They instantly die once they're thrown into the great abyss. From here, jump back to the upper platform and wait for the enemies to relentlessly ride up the sky-line and dismount.

Each time they drop down, kill them with your gun or throw them off with Undertow. There is also a Tesla Coil tear on the ground that you can open to electrocute enemies. In the end, a Handyman is summoned - use your Undertow and Shock Jockey Vigors to defeat him without much trouble.

After clearing the area, head back to Elizabeth and boost her up into the vent. This triggers a long series of events in which you must press the action button when prompted. Once it's all over, go inside both doors on the right and left of the clocktower (where the big killin' happened) to obtain an Infusion and a Voxophone ("Apology"). There is also a Telescope near the Tesla Coil out front.

You can easily miss this Telescope, too.

BOARD THE FIRST LADY

Follow Elizabeth down the hall and into the ship. From here, knock on the locked door, then walk back over to the controls and set a course. Watch the series of events and Booker ends up back on the ground.

HELP ELIZABETH

Open the hatch and follow Elizabeth to the piano. When prompted, take the notecard from them. After the twosome suddenly disappears, push aside the piano to leave the crashsite.

GO TO THE COMSTOCK HOUSE

Ascend the steps and cross the bridge to reach the road to Port Prosperity Station. Unfortunately, there are several enemies up ahead and not much in the way of cover. You can use the tear in front of you to create cover, but then you'd have to forego using the Mosquito tear in the sky. You should actually open the Mosquito tear first and use that as a distraction to pick people off. After it gets blown up, either use the cover tear or run back down the steps to cover. The latter is much more effective.

The enemies attack from not only in front of you, but also on the ledge to the right. Thus, if you are getting hit hard and you can't quite figure out where it's coming from, it's probably up there. Also, you can try to run to the station door after you clear the initial wave. Although Elizabeth cannot open doors while you are in combat, the pillars next to the station door are great cover. There is also a puddle you can summon if you want to Water + Shock Jockey them.

The Gear on the platform above the door.

After clearing them out, enter the station. In here, tell Elizabeth to open the tear for the freight hook directly above you. Attach to it, then dismount on the small platform to obtain some more Gear. In addition, there is a three lockpick door to the left of the entrance. This long room contains an Infusion at the very end in a blue bucket.

They were nice enough to chill this Infusion for you.

When you're ready, head down the long hallway on the right side of the main room. After the corner, there are two enemies loitering around, oblivious to your presence. Make quick work of them, then follow the hall outside. Before the gondola full of enemies arrives, open the tear for the gun automaton to weaken them a bit.

There is also a Motorized Patriot tear to the right. It's fun to open this one, as then it's a Motorized Patriot against another Motorized Patriot. Ha! Anyway, the run-of-the-mill enemies on the gondola attempt to hide behind the crates and rails, so try to take them out before they can get to cover.

After clearing the area, use the Telescope at the end of one of the platforms. This is another one that is easily missed. After that, unlock the cabin door of the gondola and pull the lever to ride it to Port Prosperity.

GO TO COMSTOCK HOUSE

Exit the gondola and go up the steps. In the next room, there are two men loitering around (just like before) and they can be taken down easily. In this area, you can buy several upgrades at the Armory vendor if you have any extra cash. Also, you can go inside the "ticketing" room to find a safe and a Hail Fire.

With this area clear, head down the hall to the right of the two vendors. After the small set of steps, you can find a Voxophone ("Coming for Comstock") on the ground next to a blue chest. After collecting the Voxophone, head down the hall further to reach a big room with a Dollar Bill vendor. In the small room to the left, you will find a three lockpick safe, which yields around 150 Silver Eagles

However, the three lockpick door for "The Salty Oyster" is a much better use of your lockpicks. In here, you'll have to fight off three enemies, who try to surprise you from behind the counters in the room. After taking them down, grab the Gear on the ground under a dining table. There is also a Kinetoscope ("Lutece's Brother Arrives in Columbia!") in the hall to the restrooms.

If you stay around long enough, Elizabeth even points out the Gear.

Exit "The Salty Oyster" and go up the stairs that are in the corner of the room. Before you go out into the hallway, open the tear for the gun automaton to begin the upcoming fight. In this battle, you should try to take down as many men as possible while they are distracted by the turret. Since they are fairly close to you, a close-range weapon such as a shotgun works well here.

After clearing this area, head to the far end of the room and ascend the stairs. The Grand Central Depot is a very big area that is crawling with enemies. The initial enemies are easy enough: a Motorized Patriot and some normal gun-toting men, but then wave after wave of enemies charge in.

The key to this fight is the Tesla Coils on either side of the main room. When one wave charges in, it's just from one side only, so open the tear for the appropriate Tesla Coil as you encounter the different waves. With the enemies stunned and otherwise incapacitated, take them down.

If you have any trouble, just run back down the last room and recover your health. It can get quite messy if you have to fight both sides at once: if you are having this problem, take cover behind one of the pillars in the room. Also, since some of the enemies charge, have a shotgun or another close-corridor weapon ready. Finally, you'll have to face some Firemen. At this point in the game, though, you shouldn't have much problem with them.

After this area is clear, head inside the room in the bottom-left corner to find a three lockpick safe. There is also a Voxophone ("Whispers Through the Wall") in the small storage room in here. This is all the important items in this area, so head to the north part of the big depot room.

The Voxophone in the storage room.

Up the steps, you'll find a hairpin lock. After unlocking it, open the cover tear and take out the two enemies on the catwalk above. They can't touch you from this cover, and one might jump down, which makes your job even easier. With the area clear, Elizabeth notes that the turnstiles are one-way and basically suggest something is inside the bookstore.

Well, she's right. The Founder's Bookstore is only a one lockpick door, but you'll get some great stuff in here. Grab the Gear on the center counter and the Voxophone ("A Window") on the counter to the right. Descend the stairs to the basement of the bookstore and you'll hear a few men from up above. Take cover behind one of the pillars and shoot them as they walk down.

This Voxophone is so sweet, I nicknamed it "Sally."

After that little surprise, grab the Voxophone ("Sally") on the end-table next to the white couch. This will trigger an optional objective: "investigate the bar." The "bar" is actually that "Salty Oyster" place which you might have already visited. It's a few rooms back from where you are now.

It's possible you'll have to fight your way back, which is kinda "sucky" but unavoidable. Once you get back to the bar, press the button under the register to open the door to the kitchen. In here, grab the Infusion and the Return to Sender Vigor on the center counter. There is also a Voxophone ("One and the Same") in a bucket on the ground. Basically, there is a ton of neat stuff in this kitchen, and it is well worth the backtrack fights.

Push the button below the register to open the kitchen.

Make your way back to the turnstiles in the northern part of the area. Elizabeth again warns you that they are one-way, but rest assured: you've gotten everything here now. If you want to know why you can open the tear to the freight hook above, it's just because it leads to the upper platform with a simple Armory vendor. See? You know everything, even that!

In the hall past the turnstile, you will find an elevator that is locked by a code. Elizabeth states that most people keep the answer close to the lock itself, and she's entirely correct. The answer is actually on one of the counters, perhaps only ten feet from the elevator. Investigate the counter to reach a small scene. Afterward, talk to Elizabeth by the elevator and then press the button inside the elevator to reach the downtown.

THOROUGHFARE

After the elevator collapses, jump on the sky-line and ride up to the canopy rooftop in the middle of this area. You're going to have a HUGE firefight, and this is actually the best position for a majority of the fight. From here, you can use the incline of the bank's canopy rooftop as cover while you focus on taking down enemies on each side. You can rain down fire on them without much threat of attack, and you can repeatedly open the Mosquito tear to serve as a distraction.

Fight the enemies while on this canopy in the center of the area.

While you're juggling with the enemies below the roof, a few ships full of enemies decide to join the party. You should redirect your attention to these ships, specifically the special enemy (RPG, flak, etc) that is in it. These ships have the best position on you.

You might also notice that the enemies below use the sky-line to ride up to you. If this happens, use Undertow to throw them off and into the abyss. You might also consider using this strategy for the whole entire fight: jump on the ships and push off the enemies with Undertow.

After a little while, a Handyman jumps in to ruin the fun. For him, you'll definitely want to ride back down to the base level, as this roof is too small to tango with him. Down here, destroy him the normal way: use Vigors and shoot at his heart. It will take quite a bit of fighting, but after the handyman this area is finally clear. You can find a Voxophone "A City, Suspended" in the three lockpick door on the second level balcony. Use the sky-lines to get to the door.

HARMONY LANE

There are a myriad of things to do now, but first let's open the locked gate with "Harmony Lane" above it. You'll have to go through "Beggar's Alley" first, but it's rather short. In this alley, you can find the Return to Sender Vigor if you didn't get it earlier. You can also find all three vendors with several new upgrades for your weapons and Vigors. Go up the steps to reach Harmony Lane proper.

It won't be long before Elizabeth alerts you to the snipers on the rooftops. If you don't have a sniper rifle yourself, you can open the tear nearby to get one. After that, open the decoy tear and get to work on sniping them out. You can also open the freight hook tear and use the freight hooks to get to the rooftop. From here, open the cover tear and take out the snipers one at a time. There are four of them and they are all on the different levels.

After clearing the snipers, head inside the abandoned shop on the right side of the street. Well, it looks abandoned, but if you go down the steps, you'll find a wine cellar with a few Vox winin' and dinin'. After taking them out, grab the Voxophone ("Beyond Redemption") in the crate behind one of the tables.

The Voxophone in the wine cellar.

On the left side of the street, open the three lockpick door and go up the stairs halfway to find a piece of Gear in the rubble. You might also encounter an angry homeowner along the way, but he should only vent his frustrations with a simple melee weapon. Back outside, follow the streets to reach the Downtown Emporia.

The piece of Gear on the stairs.

DOWNTOWN EMPORIA

After the enemies run across, go down the street and up the stairs to the bridge with the gun automaton. Open the tear for the turret and rain down hell on the enemies below. There is a Motorized Patriot and some Firemen, as well as the normal run-of-the-mill enemies. This is a decent position because of the crates on either side and the elevation. The gun-wielding enemies will try to run up to either side of the bridge, but your main emphasis should be on the Firemen and the other special enemies down below. You can also use the freight hook tears to reach the storefront rooftops, which has nice crate cover and functions as an amazing position if you have a sniper rifle.

Once you've cleared them, go inside the three lockpick door near the bridge to find some Gear and a Voxophone ("The True Color of My Skin"). That's it for this area, so go up the steps with the "Memorial Gardens" sign to reach (of all places) Z.H. Comstock Victory Square.

The Gear (left glow) and Voxophone (right glow).

Z.H. COMSTOCK VICTORY SQUARE

All of the dead bodies lying around should have some ammo and food for you to take. When you're ready, head up the steps to the Comstock House proper and try to open the gate. The fingerprints don't match, so we're left to literally pry them off her dead hands.

FIND THE CRYPT OF LADY COMSTOCK

Grab the Voxophone ("Pen Pal") near the statue of Lady Comstock, then exit the square to Memorial Gardens.

The Voxophone on the ground near the statue.

MEMORIAL GARDENS

Take a look through the Telescope in front of you, then continue down the street deeper into the gardens. You can find a three lockpick safe in the second abandoned building on the left to obtain some extra cash. Ignore the entrance to the cemetery for now and continue down the street. The road breaks down and you'll need to be on a type of ledge for a bit before you reach the other side. Jump inside the floating house near this broken road to find a Voxophone ("Out of the Thin Air") on a piano.

The Telescope on the way to Memorial Gardens.

Back at the cemetery, proceed inside and follow Elizabeth to Lady Comstock's crypt. Before you continue, head over to the small crypt that is to the right of Lady Comstock's crypt. Use Devil's Kiss on the torches on either side of the gate to open the gate of the crypt, then collect the Gear inside.

The open crypt after using Devil's Kiss on the torches.

When you're ready, proceed to the entrance of Lady Comstock's crypt. Open the tear for the lock, then open the gate itself. Inside here, Booker must open the coffin, but after that everything pretty much goes downhill. After the series of events, leave the crypt and go back to the cemetery to find one pissed off ghost.

DEFEAT THE GHOST OF LADY COMSTOCK

This is just a warm-up battle. Defeat her two lackey ghosts and then get to work on the Lady herself. An automatic weapon should do the trick, as she doesn't have much health right now. Murder of Crows is a great tool here, so dust it off and start to use it again. After the battle, listen to the dynamic duo mysteriously mutter random things while they dig a grave. You'll find them again when you try to leave the cemetery, too. Tenacious. All in all, though, it seems that we need to find these three tears to continue.

FIND THE THREE TEARS

Exit the cemetery and go right to reach the broken part of the road again. After traversing it, head down the steps that lead to the Market District.

MARKET DISTRICT

Follow the street and stop at the steps to the left. Up ahead, there is a big fountain in the center of the area with a pack of enemies loitering about. Throw in a Devil's Kiss to wipe them out, then take out any of the stragglers. With the area clear, it's time to loot the several items around here.

The Infusion in the corner of the Bottling Store.

In the three lockpick store with the freight hook tear above it, you will find some Gear. Descend the steps in front of the store and enter the burning building to find a few vending machines. Continue southbound and look for the "Wilson Bros. & Company" Bottling Store shop. Open the three lockpick door and grab the Infusion on the counter in the corner of the room.

Back outside, head further down the street to reach the "Financial District" sign. Head down this corridor and go inside the "Hudson's" clothing store. Drop down to the basement level and grab the Codebook on the shelf in the back.

The Codebook on the shelf next to the sink.

Now that you have all of the items in this area, head back to the Lutece lab at the beginning of the Market District. It's north of the fountain and the door can easily be unlocked with a hairpin. Inside, go through the adjacent door and into the room with the tear. Open the door and listen to the small exchange between Lady Comstock and Lutece, then pick up the Voxophone ("Child of Science") on the ground where the tear dissipated.

You can also find another Voxophone ("On the Entropy of Genes") in the kitchen to the right. Finally, ascend the stairs and grab the Infusion and Voxophone ("A Theory On Our 'Death'") in the far bedroom. The Voxophone is a bit tricky to find as it is wedged between the bed and a nightstand.

The Voxophone (glow) wedged between the bed and the dresser.

FIND THE NEXT TEAR

Exit the Lutece Lab and make your way to the Bank of the Prophet. This is in the first area: that fun area with the circus of sky-lines where the elevator broke. The best way to get there is to go through the Market District and the Financial District. At the end of the Financial District, unlock the gate to reach the familiar central area again.

Unfortunately, there are some enemies here again. Specifically, there are two Crow men up the stairs near the entrance of the bank. Try to set traps on these steps before you engage them, as your presence will also alert the several enemies inside the bank itself. Get an automatic weapon ready and mow them down.

You can also play chicken-little and throw them off the ledge with Undertow, or get on the sky-lines and snipe them from a balcony. After they're defeated, enter the bank itself and use the elevator past the busted gate. There are three Kinetoscopes in the first area, but you probably already have those anyway.

BANK OF THE PROPHET

The main hall has several enemies in it, but they are all on the far side of the room. To the left of the elevator, you will find a Dollar Bill vending machine that can be used to replenish your health during the fight. Near this vending machine you will also find a "bank of the prophet" sign that can be used as cover while you clear the area.

In this battle, use the trap mechanism of either Shock Jockey or Devil's Kiss to take down several enemies at once. You should stick near the sign and take down the enemies as they run down the hall toward you. There are also some enemies that like to hang back near the vault and fire at you, so use Shock Jockey to stun those guys before you shoot them down.

With the area clear, it's time to loot the bank. Head over to the vault door and go through the hall on the left. Enter the door at the end and pick up the Gear on the ground. Head further down the hall to find another Cipher. Since you previously acquired the codebook at the clothing store, you can already crack the code.

The Gear in the room.

Use the typewriter to open the secret room. In here, there is an Infusion and a Voxophone ("The Imagination of God"). Backtrack to the main hall and enter the hall to the right of the vault door. Down here, go left in the small room and engage the various enemies in this long corridor.

The secret room after using the typewriter.

The enemies in this area like to stick back and fire from the cover in the center, so use the wall of the previous room as cover while you take them down. After clearing them, take out the sniper down the room that arrives late to the party.

Head through this long room and follow the hall to the break in the wall. Before you drop down to the next area, look for the Gear in the blue bucket next to the corpse on the side of the room. After that, throw some Shock Jockey traps near the tear and then drop down. Get the attention of the Crow man and lure him into the traps before you gun him down.

The Gear in the bucket next to the corpse.

With the area clear, go inside the left room to reach a red-lit area with two sets of stairs on the side. Go to the end of this room to find a safe. More importantly, there is a Voxophone ("No Longer") that is cleverly hidden BEHIND the safe on the ground.

The Voxophone cleverly hidden behind the safe.

Head back out to the center room and open the second tear. After listening to Fink's ghostly comments, grab the Voxophone ("A Broken Circle") on the ledge near the tear.

FIND THE FINAL TEAR

Exit back to the main hall via the vault door and then we'll provoke Lady Comstock into another fight. This one is exactly the same as last time, but Lady Comstock has a bit more cover and terrain to navigate. Just as before, quickly mow down her minions with the Murder of Crows Vigor first, then take her down. Or, if you are quick and deadly, just focus on her.

After the battle, exit the bank and head back through Beggar's Alley and Memorial Lane. At the entrance of the Downtown Emporia, there is a shop called "Cunningham" that has the final tear. Open the hairpin lock to get inside, then listen to the tear and pick up the Voxophone ("The Customer is Late") on the table near the tear.

Don't forget the Voxophones that spawn after the tears disappear.

RETURN TO THE COMSTOCK HOUSE GATE

Head through the Downtown Emporia and up the steps to the Comstock House gate. Get ready to fight Lady Comstock after Elizabeth's dialogue. This battle is very similar to the battles with her before. Focus on firing at her while you distract and stun her minions with Murder of Crows. There is also a Mosquito tear in the sky that can help you in this fight. With Murder of Crows and the Mosquito tear, you should have ample time to finish off the ghost. Just as before, focus your firepower on Lady Comstock.

After the fight, go through the blasted-open gate and open the door to the Comstock House area.

SEARCH FOR ELIZABETH

This is a huge building, so head through the first set of rooms and listen to all of the quirky plot points. Past the room with Elizabeth's statue, you will encounter a room full of seemingly friendly enemies. On the other side of the elevator shaft in the middle, however, you will find a Boy of Silence that sets off these enemies.

For now, let him set them off and defeat the room of enemies. This is actually easier than it looks: throw down a Shock Jockey trap and, if properly upgraded, the trap should stop all of them in its tracks. Constantly move backwards while you fire at all of the enemies.

After the room is clear, use the intercom near the impenetrable gate, then enter the elevator behind you. Grab the Voxophone ("A Leash") on the ground in the elevator and press the button to ascend to the atrium.

Exit the elevator and look straight above to see two turrets. Destroy them in whatever fashion you want, then creep through the doorway into the next room. In this room, you'll encounter another Boy of Silence. You can dodge him if you are patient, but it's almost too much trouble. If you are attacked, go back to the elevator and set down a few traps in the walkway to take care of them.

Afterward, take the left passage in the Boy of Silence room and look at the Kinetoscope ("Sunrise"). You can also find a Carbine in this room if you want one. Go back to the Boy of Silence room and enter the doorway to "Where We Lie."

From here, enter the "Where We Weep" room to find a ton of corpses. There is a Voxophone ("The Value of Choice") in the coffin next to the fireplace. After that, head through the "Where We Cleanse" room and then go inside the "Where We Sleep" room.

The Voxophone in the coffin.

In this room, you'll find another Boy of Silence. This one is easily avoidable: wait until he's focusing completely on one side and sprint past him. You should spend a half-minute and look at his patterns first: he tends to jerk back and forth initially, but he surveys one side for extended periods of time after that initial flippant surveying

In the next area, there is a Crow man that comes charging down the stairs. Drop down a trap and take cover behind one of the walls in the room. Deal with the Crow man as you always do (Vigor + Gun), then take out the normal enemies at the top of stairs.

Go up the stairs now and head into the "Where We Work" hall. Take a look at the Kinetoscope ("Hummingbird") against the wall, then go through the room with the president heads. In this next area, there is yet another Boy of Silence.

You'll probably not want to bypass this one, though, because there are some nice items right next to him. The room is easy enough to clear: drop some traps at the chokepoint and blast away at the minions. After that, grab the Gear on the desk, and a Voxophone ("Debts") on the table on the other side of that same pillar.

Continue ahead and enter the "Where We Learn" room to find a projector running. Jump up through the broken wall and follow the hallway. Take a look at the Kinetoscope ("Battleship Falls") in the corner of the hallway, then continue to the "Security Center" area. Go across the room and pick up the Voxophone ("A Last Chance") on the desk by the projector. There is also a piece of Gear on the desk opposite the stairs. Ascend the stairs and follow the signs to the Warden's Office.

RESCUE ELIZABETH

After the scene, Booker turns around and finds himself staring straight at a Boy of Silence. This begins an ambush from behind you; however, the enemies tend to bunch up on the stairs, so a well-placed Devil's Kiss should wipe them out.

Descend to the level below to find even more enemies. Thankfully, they're just normal enemies, so they shouldn't be too difficult. If you are having trouble, trigger their entrance and then run back to the upper floor. After clearing that wave, go inside the central room with the elevator to fight even more enemies. These guys don't like cover, however, so they should go down fast.

Head down the hall and open the door at the end to reach the Surgery room. After a little thinking on Booker's part, we have a new objective.

TURN OFF THE MACHINES

Go through the door to the right and use Possession on the turret at the end of the hall. This turret functions as a good distraction while you clear the enemies around it. After the fight, go down the hall and enter the room with the two turrets.

There will be a lot of fighting in this room, so I recommend that you use Possession on one of the turrets and try to clear the enemies in the room. Most likely, the Possessed turret will get destroyed, in which case you'll want to use Possession on the other turret and repeat the clearing process. These enemies have better armor and more health, but you should have well-upgraded weapons and Vigors at this point in the game. In particular, Shock Jockey works great at stunning these guys and leaving them susceptible to increased damage.

If you can, leave the room with the turret still Possessed so you can use it later. If not, that's fine. At any rate, go up the steps to one of the lever rooms and pull it to stop a generator. You still have one more to do, so exit this room the way you came and fight more enemies back out in the hall.

This time, there is a Motorized Patriot and some heavily-armored normal enemies. Use Possession on the Motorized Patriot (he'll get wasted quick) and then get to the work on the armored foes. Use your Vigors judiciously and you should be fine. Just as before, Shock Jockey works great here. After you clear the area, go up the other stairwell and pull this lever.

Run back down the hall and free Elizabeth from the surgery chair. After the scene, head back to the room that had the two turrets, armored foes, Motorized Patriots, landmines, bombs, etc (I jest) and tell Elizabeth to open the three lockpick door. In here, there is an Infusion and a Voxophone ("Pavlov's Bell") on the desk. After that, open the hairpin lock on the opposite side of the room and use the elevator.

LOCATE COMSTOCK

Head into the library and Comstock locates himself for you! :)

BOARD COMSTOCK'S FLAGSHIP

Open the hairpin lock and enter the "Comstock House Roof." Head down the area and Comstock begins to literally rain hell down on you. Thankfully, he's still forgotten about your trusty Possession Vigor, so use that on the Motorized Patriot and open the tear for the rocket turret.

With those two allies in place, you should have more than enough time to clear the area of the armored foes. These enemies are the same as the bad boys at the Surgery area - heavy armor, heavy hitters, and almost endlessly abundant. Lay down a few Shock Jockey traps and take cover behind one of the several structures, then get to work on them.

There is also a Mosquito tear, but these guys might tear it down (ha!) in seconds if you open it too early. You should just try to stay back and let them come to you. Repeatedly open the rocket turret tear, re-Possess the Motorized Patriot if it lives long enough, and throw traps on the ground. These are keys to victory.

After the initial firefight, move up and engage the enemies aboard the small ship. Once they're clear, open the three lockpick door to the huge building on the roof. In here, there is a Voxophone ("An Ultimatum") and a vending machine.

The Voxophone in the locked building on the roof.

Back outside, run over to the ship and take a look through the Telescope on the rail. Board the small ship now and pull the lever to begin your flight to the mothership.

The Telescope in the foreground and the ship in the background.

REPEL THE AIRBORNE ASSAULT

It won't take long before an enemy gunship flies over to greet you. The best way to quickly repel them is to simply jump over and push them off the ship with Undertow. There are even freight hooks on both sides of the ships to help you get over. After splashing them off, return to your ship and take down the two Mosquitos that try to hinder your progression.

Thus begins a pattern of gunships followed by Mosquitos. For each gunship, it's best to just jump over and splash them off. If you have sky-line gear - which you most likely do by this point - equip it to make the ship-hops even easier. After a few waves of gunships, you finally reach Comstock's flagship.

Hangar Deck

Voxophone "What's Done Is Done"

FIND A WAY TO THE TOP DECK

Hop off the gunship and begin to make your way to the opposite end of the hangar deck. You must use the walkways on either side, but they both have gun turrets nestled at the end. Use Possession on them, open the tear to either the Mosquito or the rocket turret (depending on which side you chose), and take down the armored-foes around here.

You must weave your way through the ship to the opposite end. Here, there is two more gun turrets as well as an armada of armored foes. Use Possession on one of the turrets and take down the other turret. Take out the armored foes (use Undertow to push them off if you wish) and clear the entire area.

CLEAR THE HANGAR BAY SKY-LINE

Use the controls at the end of the ship to clear the sky-line of the pods that are blocking the way,

RIDE THE SKY-LINE TO THE NEXT DECK

Attach to the sky-line and ride up to the next deck. Land on one of the wings and open a gun turret tear right away.

CLEAR THE MAIN DECK SKY-LINE

This is much of the same as before. Use the gun turret tears to make your job a bit easier. You can either run around the ship while you blast off the enemies with Undertow, or you can take cover somewhere near the turret and gun them down.

After you've cleared it, enter through the one lockpick door located down the stairs from the controls. In this room, go to the far end and pick up the Voxophone ("What's Done Is Done") on the table with the chalkboard and the red flag.

The Voxophone on the table in the locked room.

Head back to the controls and try to clear the sky-line. Since it's dropping the pods so slowly, you'll have to stand ground at this position and fight off enemies until all of the pods are ejected. Thankfully, you can actually just run back to the one lockpick room and wait it out. There will be enemies that try to come to the door, but you can push them off the ship with Undertow. This is a simple but very effective strategy.

RIDE THE SKY-LINE TO THE NEXT DECK

Attach to the sky-line and ride to the third deck. If you just waited it out inside the lockpick room before, there will still be a lot of enemies on the second deck. Thankfully, you can speed up the ride and make it impossible for them to hurt you. Dismount on the top wing and open the door to the engineering deck.

Gear

FIND A WAY TO THE TOP DECK

Head through the door and go up the stairs to reach the main part of the deck. Here, open the tear for the rocket turret and get ready to fight a Handyman. Use your Vigors to stun him, then fire at his heart while you move backwards. Repeat this process to defeat him. Be sure to grab the Gear that he drops.

There are also armored enemies on this deck, but they are the same plain guys as always. Also, since you have two turret tears in the main room, you should be able to make quick work of them without getting seriously hurt. After clearing the first area, head up the steps to the adjacent area and use Possession on one of the turret. While it is under your control, take cover and clear any enemies in the area, then destroy the turret on the opposite side of the room.

With the entire area clear, go up the steps to reach the next sky-line. Take the ride to the deck above and open the door. Time for the big confrontation!

CONFRONT COMSTOCK

Inside, Elizabeth admires the handy-work of the model tower, then Comstock pops open the door to his humble abode. In here, watch the dramatic series of events - intervene when you are prompted - and then we're off to destroy the siphon.

FIND THE CONTROLS

Head through the door behind the basin, then go up the stairs. On the second level, take the left door to find a Voxophone ("The Mirror of Sin") on a desk, and the right door to find another Voxophone ("The Prophet is Dying") on a bed.

The Voxophone on the office desk.

After acquiring these last two Voxophones, head up the stairs to the third level and open the hairpin lock door to reach the controls room. In this room, use the ship's controls and watch the chain of events.

Command Deck

This is it, Skippy. The final battle of the game, and it definitely delivers in epicness. This can be a very difficult fight if you don't attend to the stronger enemies first. The goal of this battle is to defend the ship until you've repelled off all of the Vox, but this is easier said than done.

Thankfully, you have control of Songbird, and you can command the beast to take out whatever you like - gunships, zeppelins, even the enemies in front of you. However, Songbird has a cooldown after it attacks, and the bigger the target you chose, the longer the cooldown that follows.

Still, you'll want to use Songbird for the big targets - like zeppelins - because he can take those down fast. Most obviously, you should use Songbird directly after the cooldown's up, so as to take full advantage of him. You should also have his potential target in your mind already.

While you are commanding Songbird, your overall job is to defend the blue glowy chamber thing in the center of the ship, also known as The Blue Shiney Power Source Thingy on the Ship. This is what all of the enemies want to destroy, and they almost always decide to shoot at that instead of you. With this in mind, you don't have to worry too much about your own health, but you can find a variety of food and medical kits scattered throughout the ship, usually in the various tears.

The blue Power Core that you must protect.

For this battle, the key is to: (a) use Songbird off of cooldown, and (b) quickly take down the bigger enemies yourself. The enemies that take most priority are the armored foes with RPGs. They aren't that tough to take down, so you'll obviously not want to waste a Songbird cooldown on them, but they can still do major damage to the ship in a short amount of time.

The RPG and other special armored foes should be your main target while Songbird takes down the big ships. There are also Motorized Patriots that drop down during the battle - they can be Possessed and actually make the battle a bit easier.

There is also a sky-line around the deck that allows you to quickly traverse the battlefield. Instead of gunning down enemies, you might opt to push them off the ship with Undertow or sky-line strike them from the sky-line. In either instance, you'll want to use the sky-line to quickly travel around the ship.

That's basically the fight in a nutshell: command Songbird to destroy the various enemy ships while you kill the special enemies. There are several waves of enemies, so try to always have a health/salt/ammo location nearby when you're low on resources. These things are scattered all around the ship.

The main tip is to take down the RPG enemies first, as they can do the most damage. These guys tend to stay on the elevated walkways on either side and use the rails as cover. Either snipe them down, or quickly ride to their position with the sky-line.

The battlefield from the perspective of an enemy on the ground.

After the fight, join Elizabeth at the front of the ship and enjoy all of the mind-blowing final scenes of the game. You have some control of your character during these scenes, but you just have to run from point A to point B and use the action button to interact with things.

Enjoy the ending! "1999 Mode" is unlocked for completing the game, which gives you incentive to replay the game again. It's definitely worth a second playthrough: now that you know the whole story, you'll find much more meaning in the early parts of the game.
