Controller Fix?

I'm using a PS2 controller with a usb adapter, but I can't make the game work properly. The inputs are all messed up and i can't modify then. I tried using X360ce, but the game recognize both the ps2 and the emulated controllers. Any help?

I have a dualshock 2, not a dualshock 3. I can't manage to use the ds3 tool with my dualshock 2. I need a way to make the game stop recognizing the gamepad as a generic one, or a way to edit the key bindings in the game.

@ solution button configuration in DMC devil may cry
this an easy solution to ( how you can bind your own button configuration in DMC devil may cry ) in PC version using joysticks

1_ enter your own joysticks button binds that you want
2_ then switch to (keyboard configuration) using 5 or 6 buttons in your joysticks
3_ while you are in this menu ..unplug your joysticks (usb controllers ) from your PC
4_ make sure you heard the unplug sound ..then plug your joysticks again
5_ exit from the options menu and go back to the game directly and don't do anything or even check for your controllers
... you will find that the configuration that you made is done and you can enjoy the way you want :):)

I have the same controller and its working perfectly and it was configured the same as the ps3 controls
you can configure it from options using the controller not the keyboard or you can just download xpadder and configure it yourself if configuring it ingame doesnt work hope this helps :)

Put a copy of dinput8.dll in game folder
