First go to the .minecraft folder and move the folders in the saves folder to desktop or so, then delete the .minecraft folder, start minecraft finish downloading, open the .minecraft folder once more and move the saves back to the saves folder. To find .minecraft simply search (or run if not on Windows 7) %appdata% on the start menu, and a folder called roaming should show up, thats the one with .minecraft in it

Go into your .minecraft folder and delete your bin folder. Open up Minecraft, and it will reinstall a clean copy of it, with the most recent update.

First, make sure minecraft is not running on your computer. Then, go to your .minecraft file in appdata/roaming/.minecraft and then delete the bin file. After you have done this, close that window and go back to minecraft and it will create another bin file, without mods.
